Show and Prove is one of the best ski movies of all time

Watch it for what it is, take out all the beef you have for T, and you will find that its deeper than any movie this year, it has fully begun the combination of taking park riding to the backcountry, such as T's rodeo 9 (i think) over the pillow line in the first backcountry segment.

just go blow a few lines or smoke some nug, chill with friends, drink 40s and enjoy this movie.

Honestly, much respect for CR and what he and his friends went through, but that movie sucked. It had some impressive skiing (I mean of course, it has Tanner and Seth), but in terms of the overall movie, I think it was awful. The terrible voice overs and black and white scenes were just too much. It broke up the terrific flow that movie could have had.

you all dont know shit,

showing Show and Prove to a bunch of non skiers will get them more stoked than watching mindnumbing repetitive hardcore jib action in LSS.

It certainly has its moments. I try not to label movies "best". I try to watch them and come away with a few things that really amazed me rather than tear them to shreds.

wow this has been discussed so many times, fave movies are all about preference. i agree it was an amazing flick but i dont think that i would call it best of the year

eh, i bought show and prove and skimatic this year and i have to say that i liked skimatic way more. S & P was sick but not as good as skimatic. and skimatic woulda been better if they cut out that cartoon crap

I thought it was dope, except that I couldn't watch all the parts with CR more than once because it made me sad and was somewhat boring...The skiing was ultra-sick though...my favorite part was when Tanner is 'enlightened' and hits the backcountry jump to blood dem out...incredible

show and prove is really slow to start off, but once it gets going its pretty decent. i wish they could have used a different voice over though, the vioce sounded like a petifile.

if Hall ever landed one thing switch in powder it would have been all right, plus i have never seen a movie so full of it self, meaning tanner hall has a boner for him self

whatever, hate away. show and prove was all around amazing. all the skiing was relevant; each park shoot, street rail, pillow line, bc jump, or cliff shot was impressive. plus as you can tell, the main priority was powder; the way it should be.

it's also an amazing film because you could show it to your warren miller-loving uncle and the storyline is something that would catch his attention. the way the skiing is presented then gives someone who knows less about freeskiing full insight as to what our perception of skiing is all about these days... the best street rail footage, incredible park shoots, amazing pow footy, and seth. this movie did much, much more than simply appeal to the 14 year old, expn loving, sammy carlsson imitating punk kid.

Seth is an epic skier, but his stuff from Ski Movies 1-3 is some of my favorite ski footage ever. Not to say he's gone downhill since then, but honestly...

Ok, just to prove my point, I'm posting Seths part from SM1 for all to see. That segment from 7 years ago itself was better than Show and Prove on the whole.

so many threads on this, but i liked it. the talking/not skiing parts couldve been shorter but it overall got the measage across for what Tanner Hall wanted. the skiing was great and the talking/not skiing parts didnt bother me too much.

no it's not. it had some great moments. put them together for a really good super short film. all time... i probably couldn't put it in the top ten.

the editing, especially the sound editing was great. One of the best ski films i've ever seen. Maybe not saying too much since most ski films are overwhelmingly boring.

Snow Gods was dope, don't get me wrong, but for some reason I still like Show and Prove better and the Meatheads seem to use the old style film grain effect way too much...

I agree that SM three was his best stuff, but in the big mountain arena riders are much more vulnerable to conditions than in the jibbing arena. In War Seth skied a really sick line at the end of his part, and his huge front flip in Anomaly was as good as anything I've seen. Ski's the line clean, hits the cliff at high speed, and pulls a 100 foot front flip. I'll take that over a rightside switch 1080 off a kicker any day. I think if Seth filmed with one company and got good snow all winter he could still produce a segment that was just as good as ski movie 3.

I just watched this tonight finally, and wow, this is exactly what I want to see in a skiing movie. It actually a 'real' ski movie in my opinion. All the audio clips and shit playing added so much to it, I cant wait to see Believe now. The mammoth hip section was soooooo fucking dope.

I don't understand how my post got warped like this... I just said that because Seth was in the movie meant that it couldn't possibly be the worst movie of all time...

it was good, different more to put it. but i wish it had some better music. But the cat skiing part was sick. i love skiing pow in da trees.
