I am looking for a good back pack shovel for next year. I have a gay little folding one, but I don't want to spend a whole week building a jump. Anyway have one they like? preferably folding/detachable with the biggest head possible...thx

Dakine makes a pretty good shovel.

I use a burton ak shovel its made of aircraft alluminum its pretty sick and its sharp also.

i got a shovel at CVS for around 8 dollars. it is telescoping and it is pretty big too

''hey look, his skis are on backwards! You're one of those crazy tricksters, i can tell''- old man in the lift line

I think black diamond makes a good one... I prefer the metal shovels, they seem to cut into the snow better, and I'd recommend them

i have a Life Link IIIDX, but it doesn't have the biggest blade. it's big enough for me though, i can shovel up a nice kicker all ready to hit in about 30 mins. a nice kicker that is.

Id go with the dakine shovel, anything dakine is good quality and will last u alot longer in my personal opinion

there is a voile one online I am considering.. my question is, how big are the shovel heads? I have one folding shovel with a small head and a saw edge, but it would take hours to build a sweet kicker. So the voile shovel head...big enough?

Black Diamond and Voile are the best... Dakine is way overpriced.

why would you want a shovel if you live on the east coast, if a liftie ever saw you with a shovel on your back some questions would come up. i only know of once place on the east coast to build jumps in peace and u have to have a shovel small enough to actually fit inside your pack to get up the lift no prob. if you want the location then PM me.
