Shout out to great divide

Friday night, me and a friend drove 100 miles from Great Falls to Great Divide to go night skiing in their newly opened park. We got their at dusk and got our $9 lift tickets half (a promotion they do for other ski area's season passes)

The mountain was icy as hell and it appeared as though they only had about a foot of natural snow.

The park on the other hand was sick! It included multiple jumps ranging from 10-50 ft, a 50 foot hip, c rails, battleship box, 30 foot wallride, 40 ft down rail 5 kink rail (down flat down flat down) and lots of other stuff. What made the park so interesting is the way it was laid out. Everything was super close together and it reminded me more of a skatepark than a terrain park.

They are serious about their park this year. Kevin, the owner told us that so far this season they have put in 200 man hours and $150,000 on the park.

Basically if you dont ski Big Mountain or Big SKy it is worht the trek to Great Divide.

Great Divide's park is better than Big Sky's the majority of the time. Even though I'm not really a park skier, I like riding theirs.

i think kevin may be lying about that 200 hours... but, im glad they finally have it open and set up all nice. and kip, did i lie when i told you the park was sick?

Kevin Taylor put in 200 hours of work? haha probly not, but Jeff Jeff, Boon, and the rest of the children did for sure.

i never doubted you. its been sick for the last 3 years. this year is the best ever though. i think when kevin told me the 200man hours and $150,000 he included snowmaking in that figure. Cant wait till you guys get snow so the park wont be an ice skating rink and ill come back.

haha it was HORRIBLE this weekend. sooo icy saturday. and at the end of some jumps youd slid half way down the park trying to stop.

its suppose to snow this weeek though!

my friend skied top to bottom on his boots... and great divide isnt even that steep.

the ice stopped me from hitting any jumps except the hip, just rails for me when its that icy

Damn I might have to go take a drive there when they get some new snow... Dose anyone know how long it would take to drive there from Butte?? if so just let me know that would be great!

you just coudlnt listen to me could you......

and its about a 40ish(?) minute drive to helena from butte, and about a 30 to 45 minutes depending on the road to great divide?

friday night?

i might go. debatable, ive been sick this whole week, but i have to pick up my ar6s that i left up there incase i go some where saturday.
