Should I skip school tomorrow?

Ok, so here’s the problem. The east coast just got a shit ton of snow, which only happens a few times a year. A few of my friends (from a different town) are going skiing tomorrow. My school only has a 2 hr delay and my parents said that I can’t skip. If I skip and drive up to my home mountain my parents will probably crucify me and I most likely won’t be able to drive or play video games for at least a month. Should I suck it up, take the consequences, and shred or go to school and wait for the weekend?

This is one of the best/deepest stretches the east has had in a while and the season won't be around for too much longer. Cliche but you really only live once. School will always be there, the white room won't...Fuckin' send'r boys

i do not regret almost being put on academic probation for skiing a shit ton of good days when spring was fucking firing a few seasons ago out here. Nabbed some all-time late season turns.

I do regret showing up to school everyday. Shits pointless and easy....way less sick than skiing and highschool is just a daycare center.

You should quit video games for at least a month anyways. It's going to be a bummer not to drive but it's a way better story to lose your driving privileges for pow that than something lame like a dumb concert that a high school girl talks you into.

Get caught up on your homework and go skiing. That way you have leverage when it comes to negotiating your consequences.

don't make decisions based on the opinions of a bunch of tards on a ski forum. if youll really piss off your parents and get in trouble for leaving, just wait til the weekend. there's a lot more to life than skiing

If you're talking New England, then hell yes skip school. This Thursday will be one of the deepest days of the year, if not the last few years. No lines and deep snow. Doesn't get much better. Future pow days are uncertain, hint hint global warming. I'm someone who would say don't skip school, but for this, fucking absolutely. It's 1 day. It won't matter. Plus it's high school....

Just tell them how much skiing means to you. My parents let me skip when it was a really good pow day cause they knew how much i loved it.

This. Find that syllabus you crumpled up the first day of class and blow through as many assignments as possible.

If you want to do it fucking send it. If you think they're going to take away your car for a month over it maybe not though. Depends on if you shred some place sick and get those once in a lifetime runs. Then fuck yeah. If you go some place and ride barely steep mediocre at best terrain that's already tracked out as fuck and totally shot by 11 am I would say no.

I don't think missing a day of school matters. A day of school will do nothing to you if you miss it. No car for a month could be kind of lame though.

I don't think I ever got grounded or anything. I think in 5th grade my parents took away my n64 for a month, and when I was 4 I got banned from watching power rangers for 2 weeks. That was about it. Idk, I would go to be at a semi kind of almost reasonable hour on my own, wasn't out partying all the time, and was good about getting a hold of my parents.

A month without a car seems crazy for a day of school but I guess it's them making sure you know who the boss is. You got yolo out a bit at some points though. Maybe ski school ski powder, get wasted at a party, steal from a store, watch porn on your moms desktop, and say "fuck you" to both your parents all in the same day.

Pretty much do anything you could get grounded for in the same day and split the costs of the punishment between them. A month for a day of skiing is pretty lame. 2 or 3 months for getting in getting in a police chase, shredding pow, smoking the devils lettuce, going to a huge house party and coming back smashed, punching that stupid neighbor kid that hassles you about your ski outerwear, stealing your moms credit card to buy cigs and new skis, etc wtf not.

Tell your parents you're going to try heroin if they don't stop forcing you to go to church. Get a tattoo that says "My parents suck" on your neck. Do a chuck norris style kick through your parents TV mid argument.

When ferris bueller ditched school he did more than just one thing. You gotta diversify your lyfe yo.

I ended up skipping school and having the time of my life! Best part was that my parents ended up coming through and saying that I could skip anyways. Got some legendary pow turns and cliff drops in with the boys. 100% worth it and I will never regret it until the day I die. All my friends said we did nothing in school anyways. Thanks for all the advice guys

Haha fuck yeah! Where'd u go?

Ended up going to a modest size mountain called wachusett in Mass because it’s the closest to where we live. We skied the backside all day because that’s where the nice woods and cliffs are.
