Should I ski at Tremblant this winter? Who skis there?

So I might ski at Tremblant this winter ... I'm not decided yet. I just wanted to have any input from local Tremblant skiers. Is the terrain good, the atmosphere, etc. AND is it worth the $$$ for the season? A lot of my friends say (no offense) that a lot of poser rich kids ski there and I might not like it ... Anyways all I want is all the possible input to make my decision clearer. (My other choice for nest season would be the Eastern Townships (Bromont, Orford, Owl's Head, etc.)

Thanks and peace all over NS

yeah I know ... but my friends were talking of Tremblant as if it was like nowhere else haha... well I guess I should follow your advice anyway lol

tremblant is mad fun. decent park with some good rails. also if theres good snow the glade section is pretty epic. i ripped it 3 days straight with 2-3 feet of fresh and had a blast. its definitly ill, and if your to worried about there being poser rich kids, then doesnt that kinda make you a poser for caring who is gonna be skiing while you will? just ski it man its ill and mad hotties in the village. im from md and 4500 hs kids went every weekend its fuckin insane.

Tremblant is sick, rated the best in the East for several years running....why? 2000+ vertical feet, 2 parks with a superpipe and 80 ft bigairs in the pro park, awesome village at the foot of the mountain, crazzzzy nightlife, hot french girls, etc.....need any more reasons?

I've skied tremblant my entire life, and I love it there, but the park in the last two years has taken a turn for the worse.

Don't get me wrong, every year they step up with new features and put lots of effort into their parks, but last year especially, they fucked up bigtime.

The jumps were the biggest they've ever been, but the landings and the speed were so shitty. They had crazy fucking rails, but they were setup so sketchy in my opinion.

If they can figure out the speed issues with the jumps, the landings and set up the rails more forgivingly the park will be so dope.

Trembs, I am counting on you this year... dont let me down! and buddy, no matter what, it will be better than owls head or any of those mountains. avila is the only place that comes close to it.

i went there for a 3 day vacation and it snowed 2 feet without me even noticing. thats how much snow and whiteness was allready there. i looked on the tv and it said we had a snow storm. i didnt belive them until i was in the same glades as the day before and there was fresh pow pow everywhere. the only downside that i noticed was that it was really foggy while i was there. i dont know if that constantly there or just for my days there. it never lifted. such an epic mountain. i strongly recoment it. its considered the best in the east for many reasons. the village has a mad good chocolate shop.

I'll probably have a cottage like 1-hour from Tremblant ... I'll try to get a job there so I can get my pass for less (or for free)

dont know anything about tremblant, other than that is the resort ski le gap bases itself from,

if you are planning to do ski le gap then DONT, save your cashish and do a proper season.

if your going there on holiday or another reason dont bother with this post

yea i agree man....I actually emailed the Tremblant park crew to give suggestions...5 years ago the North park had a sick 3-jump line and last year all they had 1 jump and it was mediocre....the outh park is all good though....besides the fact that you have to start the inrun halfway up the hill

i was there last march and it was pretty fun, they have pretty sick glades, and the south side park is pretty decent, but i know what everyone is saying about the landing and shit. When i was there noone was riding there bigger jumps, i didnt think there was much of an issue with speed. The landing wasnt perfect but pretty good. The pipe is SICK! if you can ski it when its not to icy youll be set.

so in response to this thread that I created earlier this year, tremblant has definitely stepped it up.

The jumps are much better than last years, landings are good and not so hard, although speed is still a bit of an issue.

The features are all set-up much better and less sketchy.

My only complaint is that everyone and their mother has realized that it is better and the park can get pretty crowded sometimes.

anyways, mad props trembs. way to go.
