idk if i should remount my skis to the center, i rode some center mounted today that are my friends and i noticed the difference...is it worth remounting my skis
haha. 157 is kinda short for a center ski. i have same chronics 157 and it seems like if it was mounted center it would be too much like a snowblade. im just getting new skis longer and mounting them center
ya if youre not hitting alot of rails and shit and just jumping having your skis gayper mounted won't effect you much. Seems like all the posers at my mountain just get their skis center mounted for looks not performance
i don't know which year chronics you have but this year's is symmetrical and is meant to be mounted center. Center mounts are better on skis who'se sidecut is meant for it. Center mounting skis that aren't supposed to be, will affect it's all mountain capabilities. If you're in the park most of the time then it wouldn't matter. I center mounted a pair of last year's FOILS and they were shit outside the park...I had originally mounted them in a more classic standard stance and they were ripper all over the hill but where I could notice that there was a difference was w/ butters, spins, and airs. Changing the stance could possibly change the way you'll need to ride with them and may limit the ski's true purpose.
click specs- no matter what size you choose it gives a 'Stance Back from Center' and it starts, with the 156's, 56 mm back from center. get your facts straight foo! but it is a semmetric flex- thats true
yes. the ski shop fucked mine up last april when i got my new skis and after asking them to mount 1 cm back, they came to me over 4 cm back. i took em back at the beginning of this season and they remounted them to center free of charge.
if you dont get them centered, get them foward mounted and ride switch all the time.
im 5'1 and on 151 invaders, centred of course, they work for me, they feel a bit short, if your gunna be riding 85% park like u said, maybe mount 1 or 2 back from centre
