Should I or am I just addicted

I just feel like buying different skis but I’ve already bought two pairs this year. Anyone else have this problem?

My current quiver:

Line Chronic (2020)

Line Blend (2021)

Line SFB (2021)

I still feel like buying a stiffer pair of all mountain skis that are good for firmer conditions and just carving and charging. Am I addicted or should I buy a 4th pair? I’ve been thinking of the Nordica Enforcer 94 or 100 or something similar. I donno man I just want more skis!!!!!!!

As long as you’ll use them, I know a couple of kids who have a shit ton of money and buy skis that they don’t end up using because they don’t actually try to progress in anything

Diversify your quiver

Blend=noodle park ski

chronic=more stable park ski

sfb=playful all mountain ski

So it’s kinda diverse but yeah i could def do with only one pair of park skis

I know I’ll use them but i still feel a bit guilty if you know what i mean. I’m not usually one to waste money

Eh to me your quiver sounds pretty diverse already besides a serious pow ski and a hard charger like you said. I would love to have a bunch of skis, but for myself I'm going into next season with two pairs and I know I'll probably just end up riding one pair most of the time. If I had a bunch of money to spare then of course I would get more.

It seems like you're hesitant, so I think you should chill until after next season and then you'll probably know exactly what you want by then!

Maybe get new boots or gogs if you need to upgrade some gear.

Yes I have this problem. I grow my quiver then I realize “I have too many skis. I only use 2” then I sell off a pair or two then I wait a year and think “I don’t have enough skis”. Then I start buying skis again.

Save your money and use it to actually ski more. Buying the Chronic and Blend is already too much.

well the chronics are a bit worn out already so im just thinking forward

exactly, and when you’re buying new skis u think to yourself: ”Ahh, now I have all the skis for all kinds of situations.” Then somehow you still find out reasons to need more.

Sport-Bittl is not your friend in winter. Those in-season deals are like crack.

I wouldn't consider that diverse you have 2.5 pairs of park skis. I think adding a slightly wider and stiffer all mountain ski would be useful especially something that can function in powder like a lib tech UFO 105 or on3p Jeffery 106. Other option is stick with those in the 95/96 size and carve better but lose powder capabilities.

Exactly, that's why I'm thinking of more skis. I don't really need that wide skis though because I live in Finland and we don't really get deep snow here and no mountains so...

I have the same sfbs just with the 2020 graphic. They charge well and carve super nice. Since i live in PA i only ski on piste with them and they handle great on ice if you have the right technique to ski ice well

i wouldnt buy another because the sfb fits the bill pretty well imo

ik I just want to try something stiffer

Solid “I want to buy more skis but know deep down that I shouldn’t so I’m asking newschoolers to validate my desires” thread

IMO, perfectly reasonable to add a more directional all-mountain ski to your quiver if you can financially justify it.

Try a ski that isn't made by line idk. Typical old head line travelling circus nut with his quiver of lines and Jskis, you need to expand ur horizons fella.

nothing wrong with line skis, they just happen to have the types of skis I like.

There will come a day when you spend your money on mortgages, childcare, car repairs, 401ks… if you want to buy a pair of skis then BUY SOME FUCKING SKIS. You heard it here first

there is plenty wrong with line skis fella. Theres a reason you dont see adult locals who rip (and buy their own skis on top of rent and other life expenses) riding them

you should reply to line in your feedback and tell them u took back ur karma

nah i still like them. I just don’t think I’d buy a dedicated park ski from them anymore.

The addiction could always be worse, I own more pairs of skis than seasons I’ve been skiing

How many pairs you got? I’m trying to make myself feel better about having so many skis.

This is my 3rd season on skis and I’m now up to 7 complete ski/binding setups in the quiver. Only plan on selling 1 that I haven’t used since the first season

Eh?

If u mean that one always needs one more pair of skis then u are fs correct

Formula for Amount of skis you should own = N+1

N: pair of skis

same thing goes for mountain bikes
