Should I get Armada T-Hall again?

depends on what kind of skiing you're going to be doing. the t-hall's will always be dope for pipe but there are much better skis for park and all mountain.

if you bought them last year no way you should need to get another pair unless they are falling apart which they shouldnt be after a season.

Cant go wrong with armada. THe t_hals are awsome for the entire park but can get shaky on the rest of the mountain. Thats all i have to say

I am in the same situation, I have last years and there okay condition could maybe get a bit longer out of them. Im getting some suspects again too though, so I have the T-halls for rails and the suspects for jumps and all mountain.

I was looking at some 9thwards too but have not got chance to demo them yet, and ill not buy a ski without trying it as you have no idea what there like. So maybe go try some out and see if you can find any you like.

Yeah thats the one I was looking at, but without trying it there is no way Im dropping money on it. How is the durability now, I rember them just falling to pieces a few years ago.

You have no idea what you are talking about.

To op. Get new ones. Skiing on dead beat to shit skis is no fun(implying your old pair is dead)

I've demoed them multiple times and they've always been super solid on rails and in the pipe. so actually i do. fuck off.

I must agree actually they do suck in the pipe and anywhere you need to carve hard on an edge. There so soft that you cant really push the edges hard, unless you are as light as a feather. On rails and slower jib stuff there great, but for more high speed and hard carving there not that great. Try the pipe cleaners and if you like the T-hall in the pipe you will be amazed by the pipe cleaner

Hahahaa, how much do you weigh? 130 lbs? They are soft skis designed to butter and jib in the park. Sure you can ski pipe on them, but are they great at it? no. You dont see any serious pipe skier skiing thalls.

people ski pipe on t-halls all the time, the past few years they have been just as stiff as ar7s. Long past are the days when they were one of the softest park skis on the market, now they are targeted as an all mountain park ski and are a a lot stiffer then what they came from.

Not quite sure where you got that info from. I have skied nearly every pair of T-halls from the very first plain black pair, I still have those somewhere, and allthough they have got slightly stiffer over the years they are in no way an all mountain ski. The orignal AR5 which the current AR7 came from was alot softer then the current model, everthing has got slightly stiffer. Just becuase Armada stopped dulling the edges on the Thall does not make it all mountain however much they tried to imply this at the time.

They are so soft that when you try to carve them the ski just flexs in two. You cant push them hard on hardpack and there not great, not the worst park ski either, in powder. There built for rails and jibbing, not for speed and carving. Try the pipecleaner or even the AR7 and tell me the Thall is a good all mountain ski.

i've skied every pair since 06, the past 2 years are noticeably stiffer

if you can't push them hard on hardpack, you obviously don't know how to engage a turn properly. Coming from 9 years of racing, and having skied more skis then most people, the t-hall's do fine all mountain. Obviously there are better choices, but to say they flex out is just stupid, go ski a real noodle(07/08 EPs, old invaders, OLD t-halls) and then talk to me about a ski flexing in two on groomers.

I have been sking 22 years, and worked in the industry for the last 8. I have skied alot of skis everything from race, to groomer to pow to park, and I can certainly say the T-Hall is not good all mountain. I have mine centered which will not help the carve, but if you try to intiate a turn with the nose then the ski flexs rather then biting meaning you have to revert to using the underfoot edge to turn the ski. Im 170lbs so not light maybe if you were under 140lbs they would work better but anything over that these skis flex alot. I have certainly been on worse park skis for all mountain but the T-halls are up there with the worst. I personally prefered the orignal Thalls as they were a simple jib ski and did not try to be anything else. They were amazing at what they did but did fall apart very easily.

I don't know about all you guys but i loved the 11 thalls. I ride coreupt tj's but demoed the thalls and thought they were amazing. Im on the east coast so park is where im at home but they definitley excelled there. Really easy to butter on which was my favorite park (seeing how my skis are pretty stiff), and they held up on jumps 30+ without problem. The flex pattern is great imo, but everyone has different opinions.
Im sure your skis still have tons of life in em too.

you have really made an idiot of yourself in this thread, the t-halls although marketed as an all mountain ski, are most certainly a true jib ski. They are in NO WAY ideal for pipe, even if they are slightly stiffer. Just because tanner rides pipe, does not make his pro model a pipe ski.

Mine aren't beat up at all, cause I didn't even used them that much last year, the thing is, I need to get bigger ones and since I am going to have to buy new ones anyway I wanted to know what other skis similar to the tanner halls was out there that would be better for me to buy.

Another doubt I have is if I put the bindings I have on my current ones, on the new skis, will the current ones have any use or will they become trash?
