I'm 5'9" ~160lbs, looking for a dedicated touring/powder setup.

I've done a fair amount of research and I think I would be happy with S7's/JJ's or similar.

I'm more curious about what you guys think about the condition that these skis are in versus the price. Thanks!

Yeah agreed. I guess I could just take them in and get a P-Tex repair and tune up, hopefully that would clean them up real nice. What do you think about the condition of the bases/edges based on the pics?

Also this is pretty spot on size wise, maybe a tad on the long side right?

I'm a little worried (excited?) about seeing if I can handle 188's, but the consensus seems to be that for my size and what I'm trying to do with these skis the 188s's are a better options than the 178's. My current skis are 2013 Line Blends 171 and I love them.

I'm 90% sure I'll buy this setup, but appreciate any input I can get, Thanks guys.

I think its a good deal, barons are worth quite a bit and the skis are just fine, the blister reviews of s7's are great too. Go for it!

If there's no major work to be done on the bases or edges, Bindings work and release well, and there's decent camber left in the ski.

I'd say snag it up. It's a solid deal.

Awesome, thanks guys. Great advice.

As long as I don't see anything that a stonegrind/tuneup won't fix, I'm gonna pull the trigger.

I think this will be a great first touring setup to cut my teeth on.
