Should I buy these skis? (Surface The Upper)

After my most recent pair of park skis broke (173cm K2 Sight x Iron Maiden) I’ve been looking for a beefier, sub $300 option to replace them. Some things I’m looking for are: a bit more length (175-185cm) and width (95-105mm) so that my skis can finally be competent outside of park and soft groomers, but still be whippy and agile for park. If I could afford 2 pairs that would be ideal, but I can’t. I’d also want enough flex that they can be buttered/nollied as well as decent durability. So basically a ski that can do everything without being too good in one area. What are your thoughts on a 176cm Surface The Upper? I see lots of people mention The Daily, The Royale and The Outsider but not anything about The Upper. Would it too feel heavy and wide for park? I’m 6’0” and 165lbs.

I’ve heard the give’r is soft and buttery but can still hold up on jumps. It’s 100 underfoot and there’s some rocker. Seems like a good all around ski.

I have the 2020 Surface Give'r and I got them for the same reason as you. A mid-flex park ski that ski all mountain and they ski great. They are pretty flexy when you want them to be and they're not complete noodles. I can't speak on durability though. I recommend the Give'r if you are doing mostly park.

Another option is a pair of 2016 revision tailsman (176cm) which would be better for me?

they're a good cheap do-it-all ski, if you're okay with them being pretty soft. they were my park/resort ski for a few years and i was very happy with them, just a bit soft for my taste
