So my friend told me that Line skis are awesome.. He said that they have a lot of flex and they are lightweight.. That's literally what i'm looking for!

I've also looked at some Armada skis and the El Rey model looks cool af.

Should I listen to him and buy them, or nah?

The Afterbang is marketed as "The only ski built like a skate board". The issues I have heard about the afterbang is that their durability leaves something to be desired. From people on this forum, multiple have said that the afterbang isn't very durable and is very prone to damage. It is soft and has a lot of flex and super light, but its all up to you. It is decently cheap if you are looking at past year models and their graphics are great, depending on what you like.

Line produces pricepoint skis for beginners right throw to high performance models, so the quality varies greatly from ski to ski.

I just got Line Chronics and had my first day on snow on them yesterday. Really flexy, really fun, the park at my mountain isn't open yet but I carved the shit out of groomers. I also have El Rey rentals and they are so stiff, they are said to be a beginner ski but i dont think a beginner would have much fun on them. I would say if you want a nice beginner ski that can really stay with you as you progress go Afterbangs.

Afterbangs have some durability issues. I've heard/read/seen great things about the chronics though. I don't know much about the el rays, but they are pretty stiff from what I've heard. I'm riding the pipe cleaners right now. They are extremely light weight and are pretty stiff.

I had Afterbangs in like 2010. I know they have changed a little bit since then but honestly they were probably the shittiest skis I ever rode.

If you're buying Line get the Chronic, if you're buying Armada get the Ar7 or the THall. The Afterbangs, while they have gotten better, are nowhere near as good as a pair of chronics or either of those two armada skis. The Chronic is a good ski with a medium flex, the THall is a good ski with a medium-softer flex, and the Ar7 is a great ski with a stiffer flex.

i have the 2012 blends their awesome good flex

i also have the 2015 step good flex but stiffer than the blends

I would recommend the blends because you can shred everything. No matter what kind of day it is.

I've had the same pair of Afterbangs for 2/3 years.

Yes, the bases are dinged up and there's a ton of p-tex on it, but they still ride great. No edge cracks, or loss of pop from them.

I like my afterbangs but get the chronics if you can. They are lighter and a very solid ski. Afterbangs are fun for messing around but if you dont have any other skis they wont be to good, and also are pretty heavy.
