Should I Be Worried?

I bought my skis for the season in early October, due to a sale where I got for 50% off (How can I pass that up?) I have since then grown about 2 more inches, I am about 6 feet tall, and now I am stuck with 165 skis that are up to my chin. I am only 130 pounds, so should I be worried about the length?

Thanks

depends what you are doing. I'm 6'2" and I ski 168 s3's in the park for shits and giggles all the time. I wouldn't dare try to huck anything big in them though.

If you didn't get them mounted yet see if you can swap them out.. I'm sure the shop will do it. But you probably got them mounted :/

I am 6'2" and wouldn't touch a ski smaller than 180cm, so probably...

this, i had a pair of 165 when i was in grade 9, im 6'3 and i would dare go under 180 for anything serious, i have some beater masterminds that are 177 and they feel so small

I'm 6'2 and I ride 172's for park and wish they were way longer. They are fun and shit but I won't ever buy anything shorter than 180 ever again.

I bought 163s when I was 5'9 and it was a mistake. Now I only use it when I'm teaching or early season because i don't really care if they get fucked up and they're not good for much else. I'm 5'10 ish now and I'm on a 177 and its just long enough.

It is scientific fact that ski length has a direct correlation to dick length. So it sounds like you got nothing to worry about, but your girl does.

You grew 2 inches in a month!? Holy shit.

and yes, those skis are probably too small for you. They won't be very stable, especially if they're soft park skis.

I mainly bought them because this will be my first year of getting into the park, after snowboarding and skiing, so I was told by the guy at the shop, that shorter would be better, for small hill park skiing. They are the Volkl Revolt 2017 and I got em for $235, I will plan on buying JSKIS, mid December, and get that 20% discount on em.

how's your skiing? i know youre new to park but how are your skiing fundamentals?

In middle schools I bought some 159cm Public Enemies. Ten years later, I still ski on my PEs. Well, I did buy new skis but you get the point. I'm 6' and 135lbs and have never had a problem on my little skis

I have been a skier since I was 2-9, then snowboarded 10-13, the both 13-15, so I am pretty good on my skis.

If you're skiing small hill park then those will work just fine. It's your first year so I don't think you'll be hucking anything massive yet.

For reference. I am 6'0 165 pounds and ride 177's

But I still keep my 163's for when I want to fuck around

in that case youll prob want longer skis. skis that short on you are really only good if youre a total novice

only thing you should be worried about is weighing 130 pounds and being six feet tall, I'm like 5'10 and weigh 145 and I'm still a shrimp. You need to cultivate mass

All I do is eat McDonalds, sit on the couch, then ski. I do not know why I can't gain weight.

PEople gain wait when they quit using droogz. I would say get addicted and then quit and gain wait.

Maybe start smoking cigs and quit those as well.

im 6'0 and i skied 159's for 3 seasons before i realized how brutally fucked up that was. but i was used to it, and it felt okay because i didnt know anything different. go with what feels good, skiis dont always have to match your height perfectly. probably shouldnt go to the extent i did though

They are fun as shit haha. Super light weight and noodly as hell. Obviously not the kind of deal for blasting big lines but they are so much fun to just cruise and jib around in.

Ok I just bought them to use as an all mountain ski that can float in the powder when needed. They got great reviews so I went for it since i found the pair undrilled for $200 lol. I am currently on a volkl ledge which are super noodly.
