so yeah i should be doing this huge english essay right now, but holy shit essays suck. Its an essay on a terrible book The Great Gatsby. Its just so stupid and dont really feel like doing it. whenever i do seem to start ont the essay i always sidetrack and go on youtube and watch ski films, or im on NS. I think i may have ADD because i seriously cant stay focused at all on one task for more then 5 minutes at a time, its like this with all essay, test, anything.

That's a bummer. But The Great Gatsby is one of the easiest books to read and analyze, you should have no trouble finishing the essay once you get a solid start.

If all else fails, just ramble on about the green light across the lake. It worked for me when I took sophomore english.
 
haha dude im the same way. i do have add though.(atention deficate disorder) for people who didnt know.

yea i get soo sidetracked all the time. so i made a plan for what to do. i jam with my tunes. and i take 15 minutes of work then 5 minutes of w.e i want. and i do that over n over. works. unless u get sidetracked from that. i usally do
 
i had a 5 page paper due today so i decided to use my dads nam and call myself in late so i wouldnt have to turn it in, not realziing i shouldnt have used my cellphone they called home and my parents flipped now im grounded for two weeks
 
Get off your computer. Use a pen and a piece of paper. Seriously. You'll never get a good essay written on a computer that's connected to the internet (at least I can't).

I'm guessing you are in High School but you should realize that the Great Gatsby is a wonderful piece of literature and that Fitzgerald is a great author. The analysis you probably have to do is probably pretty easy, so just buck up and get it finished.

I mean seriously, what are the requirements? 2 page paper on how the light across the bay symbolizes something
 
i have a 2000 word essay and a 1000 word report due Wednesday, and another 2000 word essay due Wednesday. the subjects of my essays? Critical social theory and Aesthetics! luckily I picked a dope topic for my aesthetics essay: are video games art? My social theory essay is a litttttle more difficult, it's about the culture industry and how they use advertising and brands to limit individuality.

(bonus points to the person who can actually tell me what critical social theory is about without using google!)
