Shot's for college

Our grade had to get shots today at school but i didnt get one because my mom said he didnt want me to and then my friend was telling me that you have to have had your shots in order to get into college. Is this true?
 
you need certain shots for most schools, but you get them after you get into the school and decide you are attending that school and you get the shots in the summer before school starts. i only had to get like 2 shots and then show them i had gotten all these shots when i was a kid. its nothing don't worry about it
 
i heard about this one school that required a special shot... legend says the needle was the size of a hot dog... and you can imagine where they put it
 
yea you do. or at least I did before I came to college. I think its because the dorms are a place that diseases can spread fast
 
ya you need to get them, but just cuz you missed them now doesnt mean you cant get them later.

and ya, its for the dorm thing. when i was in a dorm disease spread so fast. one day- one cold, by the end of the week 30 people had a cold.

hahaha your mom wouldn't let you get shots for college. I bet shes the kind of mom that didn't let you do the Pledge of Allegiance when you were a kid and made you stay home on easter and shit.
 
Im in grade 9 so college is a while away, i live in canada so no pledge, and easter is always on a sunday. And ive never gotten shots before and i've never been sick with diseases of any sort, and my uncle is a doctor guy and he doesnt recommend needles so thats a main reasoin i dont get them.
 
I swear you guys always do this kinda thing in a lot of threads. But unless you want your brain to sweel up and die it's pretty important to get this one shot if you're gonna live in the dorms... I forget what it's called though.
 
1) why are you worrying you have 3 years!

2) what doctor doesnt use needles, maybe that is why he is a "doctor guy" and not a doctor...
 
i didnt get a lot of the shots that your supposed to have because my brother almost died after getting his MMR so I get as few shots as possible. Just have a doctor make up and excuse and i think you'll be good.
 
um its smart to get immunized for college. make sure you get the vaccine for meningococal disease. its a sever form of meningitis that kills you in like 6 hours.
