Shot in the dark... Stratton question

So yesterday a friend and I were in line waiting to go up and a lady next to me literally collapsed and we all screamed for a doctor. One was there by some crazy chance and started to administer CPR to no avail. I am still pretty traumatized and I'm wondering if anyone heard if they were able to get her back with the defrib or anything? Had serious trouble sleeping last night as I think I basically watched someone die right next to me.

If anyone heard anything please let me know. Thanks

And to the guy one post above.. I typed it on my phone so sorry if it made no sense. I thought it was pretty easy to comprehend though...?

I get what your saying. It's so out of the ordinary from reading threads about favorites tricks and Olympics, Then tumbling upon this.

Hahah just a little out there. Sorry not meaning to offend

No I get it. I just want someone to tell me the lady ended up being ok. I can't get that image out of my head man...

Well if she collapsed and someone who knew CPR got to her within a couple minutes and was doing it correctly, you can atleast know that she has a way better chance to survive. I forget the exact statistics but its something like for every minute that goes by without CPR the patient loses 10% chance of survival or something like that

You say she had CPR right away and then would of had the right help quickly afterwards. I'm sure she's okay OP.

i am with ski patrol at stratton, but was not a part of the response (i was responding to another call). from what i hear, a bystander began cpr before we even got there. the lady was in cardiac arrest and the cpr kept her a live until we were able to shock her with the AED, which resuscitated her in 1 shock. she went straight into the ambulance at the base and was flown out to dartmouth-hitchcock medical center via helicopter. i don't know what else i can say in accordance with HIPAA, but you can ask me questions and ill try and answer them.

you're welcome. i watched last part of the call (when they arrived at the base) and she was sent straight downstairs into the clinic. the last word i received (end of the day, around 4 o clock) she was being monitored at DHMC, but was alive.

Holy shit, I saw this happen too.Put a bad vibe on the day not knowing if she survived or not. Last I heard, I think she was breathing on her own. I'm not sure if that helps or not.

as far as i know, she is fine. i'm with ski patrol at stratton. she was stable when the heli left for dartmouth
