Short Socks and Jeans

When I ski, I wear short socks under my boots and jeans under my ski pants. Am I the only one that does this? I tried skiing with long socks once and I got bad shin bang.

just buy the absolute thinnest socks that aren't ribbed you can find. i always found my shin hair got ripped out with short socks. and jeans...fuck that shit, i ski with all synthetic base layers and waterproof/breathable shell outerwear even when I'm just skiing park. not really worth it if you only ski park i know, but its so much nicer staying dry and not getting sweaty and overheated all the time.

Mid calf nike socks, and my underwear, if its cold Ill wear athletic shorts but i cant put up with all those waistbands saggin around in there its a mess.

You can never be too hot or cold with basketball shorts and high ski socks. Plus the shorts pretty much stop snow from getting in your pants which is chyll

I forgot long socks one time when i just went to the hill straight from work. Never again it felt really weird and my boots got twice as sweaty.

If you have room to tuck jeans into your ski boots they probably do not fit you correctly.

The second time i went skiing i tucked my jeans into my ski boots. I was complaining for like two hours because my feet/legs were killing me then i finally mentioned it to the ski instructor when we were going up the lift and he was like. Dude take your jeans out of your boots and it will be fine. Needless to say it worked and I haven't tucked anything in my boots ever since.

I was one stupid 6th grader.

Depends on the weather. If you are only a fairweather skiier than sure. If it is 30deg+ boxers and socks are all I am wearing under my snowpants. from 30-10 Ill have on a pair of long johns/thermals and under 10 Ill have like, thermals and flannel on in addition to the snowpants.
