Short Skis

I'm 5' 7" 135 Lbs and a intermediate to advanced skier. Thinking about getting 155 skis, would those be too short or is it up to personal preference?

Personal preference to an extent but that seems a bit short for you. I'm 5' 3, 130 and I ride 159s, and 164s.

Honestly if the skis aren't shorter than you chin you should be fine. It's just personal preference. But if the skis are smaller than when your chin is at then they are too small.

I'm 5'10" and when I started I bought a pair of 159 K2's. After a few months I bought a pair of 177 and have fallen in love with that size. The 159 was kinda fun but I think it's a lot more fun to have a larger butter zone. plus you can go faster OP.

5'7" in centimeters is 170.18. If you like shorter skis, Don't go lower than 168 cm. You can really go as long as you want. I don't know what size of skis you have shredded before but longer twigs are really fun. I'm 5'10 and ill be skiing on 181 cm planks this year. In my own experience people really only ski shorter skis because 1. They have no experience with longer skis 2. They aren't good enough to handle long skis. 3. A combination of the two.

If you ski powder. Go at least 176. Park is up to you but 171 cm should be the g-spot.

At 135lbs op you don't need a longer ski to be stable as you are so light so you can to some extent discount your height. So I would say if you are going for a full camber ski and you are stil progressing in the park so not hitting big jumps they actually could be ok. You may be ok going up to 165 range but for rails a smaller ski will be fine.
