my brother works at my local shop and some of the stories are hilarious.

one time some guy was in getting touring boots after trying on a couple he asks my brother " when i flip it to walk/tour what is stopping me from falling flat on my face." my brother was so amazed at the guys stupidity he got another worker over just to hear the guys question so he could experience it. eventually my brother just said to the guy " idk man whats stopping you in your shoes just to make him not feel like it was a stupid question"

another time one of the other workers who only has the job because his dad is friends with tho owner asked my brother why they even make a binding with a din of 12. my brother was thinking that he was saying that cause its low but he then said i only ride at like 3.5! the guy is like 5'9 150 ish. he was amazed when my brother showed him pivot 18's

This guy has never been of a bunny hill I take it and even there he has problems with prereleasing.

I was at a shop once and this dude was arguing with a worker. Because the shop could'nt mount his 1960 skis.

Last season i asked for new bindings from my local shop. Asked what they had for a lightweight freestyle binding, He gave me what i thought was a "good deal", about halfway through the season i fell off a rail and the binding ripped out of my ski and never released properly and i ended up breaking my foot. Did some research, turns out they gave me a binding for a 7year old kid . fuck you comp edge ski shop

If they had you sign any papers saying that you agree that skiing is dangerous and they aren't responsible if the binding doesn't release properly because the mechanics did all they could, then you can't do anything about it. But if not you can file a law suit.

yes, that would be the case if a binding that was properly mounted and chosen for his provided skill level. If the binding was meant for a little girl though and improperly mounted, that would classifiable as negligence making the waiver void

the biggest value of wavier is not making it so the person doesnt have a case, but making them think they dont have a case. If negligence was displayed then the waiver doesnt mean shit

People will always come in from Little Cottonwood and un-ironically ask us for the "longest and stiffest" thing we have.

maybe youre strictly talking about the dick joke but what's so stupid about that? one thing about shop employees is that a lot of them assume if youre renting youre a gaper...sorta annoying. working in a shop doesnt have any relation to how good you are or arent
