It seems these type of threads are popping up daily. After reading all these horror stories I made sure to make it very clear how I wanted my bindings mounted.

new Karma 185's, FKS 155 bindings. Asked for +2 for the mounting which the shop did perfect, however... they aren't centered!!!! I guess the jig they used was off and the toe piece is mounted more towards the left. luckily the shop owner is a great guy and said to just ride the ski's this weekend since I needed them bad and he will track down a new set of karmas for me. hopefully he can find a set though since he was all out and I luckly got the last set from proctor jones, maybe volkl will make a new batch half way through the season.

I should have posted the measurements. from the front side of the binding on the left side I measure 1/4" of distance from the binding to the side of the ski. right side I measure a 1/2" distance from the binding to the side of the ski. and the the very back part of the toe, one side its on the very edge of the ski, other side has about 1/4" of ski left.

Hah well they were already new ski's, just sucks that I have to go through all this. Wish they could have got it right the first time but at least they are a classy shop and will take care of the mistake for me. +1 for them in my book.

lets just hope they can find a 185 karma though :)

my shop did that with my ak enemies, then said "you'll get new ones for nothing"

sure enough, i did,

but

they mounted them again and drilled through the base.

after 6 weeks and 2 killer powder days w/o having them, i got my money back and bought em at another shop.

o boy was i mad!

the exact same thing happened to me, but it was a legit reason. they had to freehand it when they did my elizabeths and mounted the toe pieces both like a cm to the left, which is pretty huge. they ended up getting me new skis, so it worked out. thats really weird tho that that happened to these cuz the jig should fit those just fine. hope it works out for ya man.

the new look jigs will fit it just fine, the old ones are a different story, narrow as fuck. I had to mount with an old one for awhile and it was fucking weak

...i stand corrected. i guess i shouldnt just go talking about stuff im really not that sure of haha. still it sucks that happened man.

not only does the shop i frequent screw up a mounting from time to time but they always put damn stickers on the skis, fortuantly their the shitty'est stickers ever and after a day they've completely come off..or you can just peel them off.
