dood, my guess, is that when you pop your boots in a few times they will gradually go down. But you should still go ask the shop.
 
Umm it just looks like the screws aren't screwed all the way in. Get a screw driver and tighten them up all the way. The plastic piece should sit flush on the ski. The only other thing that I can think of is that the screws are pulling out which means some dumbass mounted them and stripped out the holes so now the screws are coming out. But I don't think that is the case since you've never skied them.
 
if they just have to tighten the screwas 2 min. if they have to remiount, dont let them, get some new skis.
 
I mounted my shit skis myself, and I made the holes too close together and it did that. And before someone goes "you stuipid fucktard, your gonna die cause you mounted your skis yourself," I just wanna let you know I dont care cause there my shit skis and im only gonna ride them 5 times maybe. But as for your skis, just take them to the shop and ask them about it. I doubt anyone is gonna give you any good advice on how to fix it here.

From the photo it looks like they have used the wrong length screw or not drilled far enough into the ski. either way its shite cause you don't really want to be taking the bindings off and redrilling/screwing into the ski.
 
yeah man, I cant really see on your pict what the problem is, cuz its dark... but if you think something is wrong, you def have to go to your shop, they will have to endorse the responsibility for their mistakes. Have them remount it properly...
 
you cant see the gap right before the black part? it doesnt look right, take em back, their are some way sick kids on this site who caan tell you whats wrong but you would still have to take em to your shop, so stop wasting time and get those bad boys to the shop.
 
I would say so. My shop fucked up on some scratches that I had that I skiied for 2 seasons. They gave me this years fs for 150 bucks because they fucked up. Would have prefered them free, but that is ok i guess.

HAHA your mom is dropping them off. What are you like 10. Do it yourself and go talk to them. If your mom drops them off she won't know what she is talking about and they won't get fixed.

Oh yeah and dumbass go get a screw driver and fix it yourself. At least try that.

just screw them in more. If that doesn't work then take them back. You shouldn't worry too much about pulling out your toe... thats more of a heel issue.
 
yea, maybe on a backseat landing but that's it...and DO NOT listen to these hacks and screw them in yourself...if you get to close to the base then it will bubble outward, that's never good...
 
who on here has pulled out their toe piece? I'd like to know one... and foam core skis and liberty skis don't count.
 
Haha another person who doesn't know what they are talking about. The screws are too short to go through the bottom of the skis. They are made that way so you can't screw them up. The only thing that can happen from tightening the screws too much is that you will strip out the holes.

Oh yeah and to who ever said to use helicoils you are way off. Those are crap. They are made mainly for remounting little kids bindings. No one uses them for anyting else. Many years ago I let a shop use them and within a few days on snow the binding pulled out again.

To second picture guy. I'm 100% sure you screws just aren't screwed it. Just scew them all the way in. Crank on the screw driver until they are snug and that's it. There is glue in the holes that will keep the screws from backing out so you don't need to crank the screws really really tight.
 
it's not like the people that work in shops are trained professionals. for the most part, they're just the average shmuck like me and you.
 
^Yeah but I'm an average schmuck who knows how to mount skis. It's really not that difficult. There is a jig for God sake. It's mostly just time consuming with the testing. But it's really not that difficult if you have read through the manual and have taken the certification test.
