Shop Issues Jut read it. NOW?

Alright so heres the story.
I took my skis to the only shop within a hours drive. I had a pair of this years JJs and last years Dumonts to get mounted up. I also had to get some new boots. This was a bitch cause my feets are truely impossible to fit. Anyways after 6 hours and many boots shoved onto my feet, I found a pair that were the closest to comfortable. But this isn't about the boots, sorry I lost my spot. This is about my skis!
Now I've realized you could skip that pointless paragraph but too bad. Now to the point, The shop guy messed up the mount on my skis. I had a nice florescent green line drawn were I wanted them mounted. How hard can it be mount on the green line, call my cell with any questions. Apparently thats too hard. Thank full it was only one ski that he mounted wrong (not too sure of the details of how he managed this).
Anyways, I now love my shop because of the options they gave me to remedy this problem. They took full responsibility and gave me the following options:
1) replace my skis and mount the replacements for free. (Catch to this one is that it's unkown how long it will take to find a replacement pair)
2) Fill in the unwanted holes, remount properly (at no charge) and pay for my boots. Keep in mind that these boots are running me $650.
3) Fill in the holes, remount for free and guarrentee the skis for the season and at the beggining of next season hook me up with a new pair of skis.
NOW heres what I'm asking of you. Tell me what you would do if you were in my position. And I suppose a MAJOR factor to consider is that I paid $215 for the skis over the summer.

If you are paying for the boots with your own coin, then i would take the free boots

If someone else is buying the boots for you, I owuld wait untill next season and some brand new sticks

I'd go with option 2, because you are saving $650 on boots, and you will have your skis rigth away with only one extra set of holes, which shouldn't be too too bad.

First off you should tell us all who and where this shop is located because this type of concesion is unheard of. I would chose the boots because if you found such a deal on the skis over the summer what is to say you couldnt buy 3 more pairs with the additional $$$$. I would buy them a 30 of beer as a thank you because that is wicked good business on their part. If you are under 21 figure something out!

seriously sweet shop.

I had a shop offer money, for a binding mount screw, but only $100, go for option 2 and keep going to that shop.

I've heard of shops offering new skis, which is really good customer service.

sux that they screwed it up.

somewhat understandable for the tech, late nights, custom mount etc. but still a serious screw up!

awesome shop to offer such a good deal for you.

I've realized I left some info out from the original post.
The $650 for boots isn't my money, well not all of it. It was a birthday/christmas gift thing that I worked out with the parents. I was only putting in $150. That being said, if I choose option 2 then my parents want to straight up give me the $500 that they would normally put towards the boots. I dunno about this since I don't think it's fair on them and I don't really want the money.
The other issue that has been bouncing around in my head is that MAYBE it's more then a messed up mount. I didn't ask when I talked to the shop manager on the phone since my head was spinning and my thoughts a mess thinking about my 3 options. Either way tho I must give the shop major props for what they are offering to do.

P.S the shop is called Ski Tak Hut. Located in Courtney on Vancouver Island.

word man i feel ya, i personally would feel bad if a ,clearly, dope shop messed up, i would want to suport them still you know? i probally would talk to my parents about how you feel bad about how the shop would be losing so much, and you dont really want the cash, and have them just pay half the boots or whatever. i would do that personally so i would feel better haha. sounds lame as fuck, but i would want to keep supporting my shop since thy are obv. awesome and such.
or if the skis really that messed up then a new pair is always nice :)

boots....if you got a nice pair of boots 650 is alot of money also and if you have skis that work great. also if you were gunna drop tha tmoney now u can pick up a pair of skis and not have to buy boots cuase there the most expensive and important equipment normally

option 2 then worst case and the skis are fucked more than you think, you can always buy another pair of sticks with the $

#2 for sure. Even if you don't take the money your parents want to give you, you will be in their good books for sure. Can you say better Christmas/Birthday presents?

option two.
and if i were you i would go back to them in the future and buy their shit cause i know alot of places that would most likley fill in the holes automatically and just say to bad so sad, here ya go dont let the door slam u in the ass on the way out.
im not saying this is how a shop should conduct, but in your case they handled it 100% perfect.

two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two two

Having two sets of holes in your skis isn't that bad. You should also consider that you only paid 215 for your skis and the boots are worth fricking 650$ so that's awesome. Go for 2 for sure.

YES! I knew it from reading this. They would be the only shop on the island willing to do this. And are by far the best shop on the island, further reinforced by this service.

Great Shop, Great Service.

Glad to here that they resolved this issue in the way they did.

numero deux my friend by far the best deal and they seem like a sick shop wish i had a legit one around here

option 2 fo sho...you truely have a sick shop...my shop fucked up my new elizabeths by mounting them an inch back from my big green paint marker line, and the mounted them backwards so the toe piece of the binding was facing the tail, and all they did was remount them, fill the holes, and give me a free hot wax...bullshit

2 or 3

Even if you don't wanna take ur parent's money, u could use that to buy somethin that they would hav to pay for anyway.

3 cus a free pair of skis would be so dope

It's all up to you tho, remember that. You asked for our opinions, but keep your own in mind what are you leaning towards and why.

OPTION 2! because you will have your skis right away, free boots and some cash from the rents to help pay for skiing. And if you ski does get fucked due to the mount this season while riding, u only payed $215 u said for both pairs, so its not a big loss, and you can find anther good deal on skis once the season is over!

buy new skis nxt year wit the 500 it wud still be going to skiing

but it is nice that u feel bad for taking 500 dollars + k for having emotions

Option 2 forsure and you can mail your parents money to me if you feel really bad about it

Thanks for the input.
I should have clarified that it was the Dumonts that they messed up. I talked to the shop manager today and they found a pair of replacements from their solly rep. Catch to that is they wont arrive till next week.
I was leaning towards option 2 for sure but they shop wants to replace the skis straight up. I'm fine with this since I'm not gonna be difficult since they are handleing this soo well. I personally don't see the holes as a big deal and if they are going to replace the skis then thats cool. My only complaint/ question is what are they gonna do with the 'messed' up pair? I'm hoping they dont toss em cause thats really a waste. The skis would only have extra holes.
But I'll know tomorrow.

That is so sick, I bet that with the old skis they might a(let you keep them, or (b) someone in the shop may use them. I don't know but I would ask If you could ski those skis for a week and when the new ones come in take them back in. (although I would just wait the week out and thank them because a shop doesn't do that often,
