Shooting at US navy yard in Washington

Well, of course the technology has been improved, but how we obtain them and the precautions that we have in place are much much different than in those days, or even just 100 years ago. Personally, i think that the media needs to stop giving so much attention to the killers, just egging on other psychopaths to do the exact same thing.
 
On of the identified shooters is a 36 year old contractor or something from Texas.

According to Alexey Pushkov, a Russian piece of shit who for some reason has something to say about the situation something about how nobody's even surprised because America's self collapsing right now, which is in very ill taste considering the 13 people just died, but at the same time, I'm not at all surprised this has happened. It's a sad day, and my heart and thoughts go out to those affected by this tragedy.

Yeah it takes longer to get a gun, but it is much easier to get a semiautomatic gun now.

I agree that we need to stop giving so much attention to the psychopaths when the go on sprees like this. Also, we need to identify those people before it happens.
 
AS people have already said you don't need to take guns away from law abiding people, what you need is to keep them away from weirdos. If its not fair then tough shit.

I think basically what you have to do is use peoples childhood and upbringing against them. Any kid who grew up as a total sped with behavioral issues in school shouldn't be able to have a gun. People who have multiple assaults on their record shouldn't be able to have a gun. You can weed out some of the people who pull this shit by doing this, if a kid was a total sped in school and did weird shit don't let him carry a firearm as an adult, especially an automatic one.

Finally.... it might be time to start holding those who instigate these kind of things responsible. If he did this to get back at dickhead coworkers then charge those people with something. Fact is its also their fault, this dude wouldn't ahve done it if someone didn't fuck him over to set him off. Again that will be an unpopular view since people think its unfair but tough shit.
 
Agreed. You would think the NSA, with that all that spying and reading our texts and emails, they'd be able to do something, too bad they don't care about domestic terrorism...
 
The majority of gun violence in America is caused by unregistered, illegally obtained guns, I'm willing to bet mostly handguns. Background checks and licenses aren't helping to curb the violence, as most of the people obtaining firearms legally aren't going to go on a rampage. Obama making changes that affect regular gun carriers and not the fucked up criminals is obviously doing jack shit to help.

As a Canadian, I'm pretty happy with our situation. But were we to have problems on the same scale as the US, I would sooner elect this girl than the fucktards in charge right now.

Seeing as there are still millions of people across the country who are unhappy with gun laws for whatever reason, I really don't think there have been.
 
i think Ns should gather as a community and create our own country in which such travesties cannot happen. i at least hope no one on NS is that mentally unsound

All I know is that the guy drove a Prius, which confirms my theory that all Prius drivers are psychotic. I propose that we arrest all Prius owners, impound their vehicles, crush them down and convert them into low emission dildos. The world would be a much safer place.
 
I completely agree with the Yaris and PT Cruiser drivers, but this is not necessary for Oldsmobile drivers. They are harmless. It would be like making your hand take the morning after pill.

Supply and demand of ammo has sky-rocked since that school shooting last fall. Obama mentioned some striker guns laws and that escalated to no more "assault" weapons. So everyone went and started hoarding ammo which led to higher prices and then to no ammo at all for some makes.

Now I am stuck with guns that I can't find ammo for because some douche shot up a school because he was deranged or drugged out or who knows. Now the same thing happens again, and I am sure the gun debate happens again, and boom...the common man who likes to shoot guns on the weekends takes it up the ass.
