I wear size 11 shoes, and I'm working on getting a pair of 27 boots.

not really, i wear size 8 or 9 shoes and my boots are 24.5 (thats a 6 1/2 for those of you who don't know how boot sizing works)

Paul Coffey wore a size 11 shoe (if memory serves) and played half his NHL career in a size 6 skate.

I wear size 12.5-13 shoes and a 29-29.5 boot. Pretty standard.

oh god kirsten... think i'll get the NS award for smallest boots? I wear a size 7.5 or 8 shoe, and a 4.5 boot... i think thats a 22.5cm or 268mm... they are race boots though

 
well, the shell is 32.5 cm, the inside is 28, and the liner is supposed to be 28.5. the dude that sold me the boots was on crack i think. oh, and i take a shoe size anywhere from 10.5-12.5, it just depends on the company

i wear a 13 shoe usually. my dalbello's are a 29.5, which is kinda close to normal, but i wore a friend's 1080 boot, which was a 26.0 and it fit perfectly. actually the most comfortable i've ever worn. they were near new too, not broken in and all mashed down. weird how companies can have such different standards, that's all

 
shoe size: 8-8.5 (sometimes 9)

boot size: 25/25.5

To get the approximate mens shoe size from the mondopoint rating, just subtract 18. so my 25/25.5 are like 7/7.5.

Most people will ski boots 1-2 sizes smaller than their shoes. However, some people will go as far as 4 sizes smaller.

The best way to estimate boot size is to add the number of the mondopoint together. 28 = 10 etc. Most people down size one size for boots. When you try on the boots, take out the liner and put your foot in the shell. You want a finger of space behind your heel when your toes are touching the front of the shell. This way the boot fits when the liner breaks in.

 
I've tried Rossignol, Salomon and Technica boots before, and 27 for US 11 sounds about right. Currently I have 29.5 boots with size 11 feet and they feel way too big on me. I'd say US12 = about 28-29. US11 probaly 27-28.

Personally I think smaller boots are better because you can dig out the toe if you grow, and its harder to manipulate your boots if their too big in the first place.
