Shoe size to ski boot size...

I low-key just want to know how different it is for each person. (I work in the shop and boot-fit) and have seen people rock like a size 11 shoe and actually measure to a 25. How did you get into wear big shoes/why do we do it. Personally wear a 13 shoe, ski boot is a 29.5.

Yes i know BSL would be better but I'm just looking for some info/thoughts.

People wear big shoes because they are comfy, if you don't need to wear tight closely fitting shoes why would you? If you have 2 or 3cm of space between your toe and the end of your shoe it really doesn't matter at all. If you had 2cm+ of space in your ski boot it would be terrible and you'd end up with all sorts of issues.

Also I think when people buy shoes they measure and then add an extra size to size and a half for comfort whereas when you measure for ski boots you'd never add a size and always got with the exact measurement.
