Shitty hills can still be cool

ok so last season i was just chillin at my local hill. which sucks, cuz its like 300 feet high. no mountains here. anyways, i was skiing along, lapping parkuntil i got bored of that and decided to go to the "black diamond" wich is the racing hill. so i did a few runs on that and then i noticed that to the left of the trail there was a gap in the fence with a bunch of pow. i waited till the lift operators and ski patroll looked away, and headed for the unknown. there was about a half foot of pow (maybe more?) and then there was a tree which forced me to the left. to the left, theree was a bout a 8 foot drop, which was hella fun. then, i proceeded down to the botom of the hill, where i then realized that teh trail i had just taken was the golf cart path. anyways, im just sayin that even if you hill sucks, theres still new stuff to do

word, there is a service road at chicopee that all the snowmobiles use at the back of the hill...i kinda wanna try that sometime

I hear you, little local hills are all about exploration, knowing the minimal acreage like the back of your hand, and having a good time jibbing and slashing around on everything.

yea camden snow bowl only has a 950 foot drop, but when theres snow theres so many fun ob lines to take

nice to see im not the only one who doesnt ski on a mountain. but yea man like it was said above, at small hills you gotta know all the terrain and rip it all. no matter how many times your told not to

my local hill is only 300 ft and we have 3 parks and a race hill next to one of the parks that no one uses... there isnt anything hidden i wish there was. i think we should get a halfpipe it would be so sick

i ski at blue, its small and crowded, but theyre are some sick hidden tree runs and natural stuff to hit up if you know where to go

I ski at a mountain and there are some fun spots all over. old alpine slides, gaps tree jumps, everything to keep a skier satisfied. Fernie has a shitload more fun stuff like that.

haha. skiing down the alpine slide thing is what your thinking of. but the mini park is where it's at. snake some small children and do like 10 changeups on their small boxes.

yeah, stevens is rad... i wish they had some steeper groomers though. everything there seems kinda wussy after skiing other mountains

ya i went to this place in michigan, like a six hour drive from my house and it was snowing the whole way unitl we got there. adn there were powder stashes in the trees and awesome tree skiing as well as jumps coming out of the trees. The greatest time ever . it was so fun finding all the hidden shit adn being yelled at to not ski out of bounds

ya i totally have it really hard at squaw. if i go on the unventured i might die. oh well, i guess if the inbounds terrain is good enough for shane macconkey and jt holmes i can make due for a while longer

werd if your hill has a legit park its all about seshoning it to itf ull potential and nailing everythign down. and just having fu neith your crew

yeah whenever i go to my local tiny hill i just ride switch most of the time and work on that. or mess around in the trees

yeah, me and my friends go to my local hill which also has like a 300 maybe 400 foot vertical and we built this 40ft booter it was pretty sweet but u can find tons of sweet jumps that you wouldnt even guess existed if you didnt just explore around, i learned my 3s there like 5 years ago then forgot them until last season, so yeah, im pumped to try some 7's amd 5's this winter!

yea on the side if the stepest hill at my mountain there is a little jewel of purfect powder caus not many people do it. yea lil side trails and stuff are fun to especialy if u explore alot

obviously little/shitty hills are still cool check my mountain out, even know its owned by intrawest its shitty and small but our park is dope

jumping off lifts is sick. and i defenetly know all the sick shit to do at my resort. after 9 years of skiing there. my hill is like 300 feet.

we would have sweet paths like that, but the only snow it on the trails. in between the runs is just all dirt and leaves. its pretty much all man made snow here

my hill has 1 park consisting of about 2 boxes and 3 rails and a sad excuse for a jump. BUTBUTBUTBUT we have a pipe. which is cool

My local hill:

Except Beer's Bluff isn't a trail anymore, there is no park, and Lover's Lane and the lower part of Sonya is never open.

my hill is thunder ridge in southest ny- 300 vertical. we build our own jumps, we have to setup the jumps to the rails that thay put in the park

there is a halpipe excavated into thje ground right next to a trail. a fence separates the shitty nonvert pipe, so we build a jump in the wall of the pipe to gap the fence onto the trail.

we also bonk random barrels and some people jump off the lifts

then when were bored of that, we search around for more fun little jibs and stuff

my mountain is narsty, there are so many paths between the trees connecting the paths that me and my friends find, there are also some dope logs to jib

Thats a good point. Our mountain is groomed on both sides, surrounded largely by cornfields. If you get a two in you can jump the whole thing and actually get some air...
