Shittalking in K2 Skeeze mag...

seriously, the shit talking in Skeeze needs some moderation. I don't mind people giving their opinions about the industry, but the way it's presented, it's not an opinion, it's just saying shit about people. And the riders who do the most shit-talking are the ones that should shut their mouths the most.

First off, Pep. I quote: "I heard many people commenting on the one foot slide, saying things like 'Skiing's just Rollerblading on snow.' There's a reason why ski blading died, and why no one throws lieu-kang grabs anymore. They look sloppy, they're not stylish, and they're bitten fom Rollerblading."

Oh my fucking god, Pep is saying that Charles Gagnier doesn't deserve to win X because of a one-foot slide because it comes from Rollerblading, and then he says Tanner deserves it more because he did a NOLLIE LIPSLIDE. Yeah, I forgot that skiers invented both nollies and lipslides, fakies, corks, mutes, tails and all those we not bitten from skateboarding and snowboarding. Also, I agree Pep is a good skier, but he hasn't been top 5 in any comp since the 03 X-Games, so he ain't the best person to bitch about Gagnier here.

Next up, Rory Silva, bitching about Corey and Jon being whiny. Yeah they might be whiny, just like Tanner is and probably a lot of skiers are out there. But when your style sucks, you haven't podium in any comp for a good 2-3 years, haven't had a good segment in any ski movie ever (maybe some of you will say his seg in WSKI was good, I thought it sucked), you should maybe start to criticize yourself and then talk shit about skiers that are a hundred times better than you are.

I could go on saying things like that, but I'll get enough shit from 70, 000 people with just having saying that, so I'll stop here for now.

you guys are being ridiculous, it was their opinions plain and simple. Doesn't make it right, doesn't make it wrong. It was simply stating from their mouths and just being an outlet for their voices, get over it. As for Rory dissing on people, he DOES say Jon "is the best skier there is." Pretty nice if you ask me. And he says he respects Marion and Vanular anyway. No need to get all worked up about it.
 
no not true they say what they believe. Are you saying Pep was standing up for Tanner because he's on K2. Of course not because he isnt on K2. He was because he thought he deserved to win way more than Gagnier. He doesn't like one footers so he says it, he doesnt care if NS shit talks about him
 
I haven't posted in a while, but this caught my eye, so here goes:

I still haven't seen a copy of "skeez" but really if in the opening paragraph there is a direct quote that says:"K2 skeeze is probably the first magazine born as an attack against it's own industry" then there is something really wrong. Regardless of wether or not it actually says that, skiers, and ski companies would benifit imensly from looking at eachother as competition and more as partners in the sport we all love.

People need to realize that each company, or faction of the ski industry bring something to the table, and promotes the sport a different way, growing the overall poularity of the sport and making it beter for everyone.

Attacking eachother is going to get us nowhere, working together to grow this small section of the ski industry is going to be better for all of us.

You can't subscribe to it... It's a free magazine/advertisement and I don't think there'll be more issues. They should have them in ski shops.

They don't hate on Jon's style, they just say it shouldn't become some sort of standard. All they are saying is that just because Jon doesn't move at all when he is in the air, kids should start trying to stay completely still. They like it when there is some sloppiness in the trick. And Pep hating on Gangier was fine with me, he rollerblades on snow.
 
i thought it was sort of kool having people say exactly what they think and ther're opinions even though i didn't agree with everything said (pep...)

But i think that if there's shit talkin to do in the industry it shouldn't be against the athlete because, hey people just can't be like by everyone.

The shit talkin should be about the real promblems like quicksilver buying rossi n dynastar = some majors money cuts and a lot atheletes drop and stuff like transworld dropping freeze and stuff

And for the making fun of compagnie's (the adds) well i think that's pretty funny actually
