Shit's getting intense in Israel

What's kinda hilarious is that the USA has more decommissioned Aircraft carriers than anyone else has actual carriers... and that it could just recommission all of them in about 3/4 months time in emergency situations, where it might actually need them.

it's not wrong, it's just including the amphibious assault ships the US Navy has as well, which are arguably more powerful than a carrier because they are capable of landing Marines, as well as handling certain aircraft and helicopters. These are probably a more accurate comparison to the aircraft carriers most other countries have.

That graph is outdated too, as the US Navy now has I think 9 of these ships, with another 4 under construction. And add to that another 3 full fledged aircraft carriers under construction.

So yes, the graph is wrong. But not in a way that devalues what the US navy has.

For it to really be Israel, they would have to be holding Tavor TAR21's, Galils (reengineered AK), or some UZI variant... that said, I guess the IDF does use a lot of M16's.

don't know if you guys care but one of my best friends, who is american/israeli, has been spending the past semester there. he's got some cool pics and some interesting opinions from someone who has actually been there and stepped foot in the west bank and israel, some more substance than the armchair opinions propagated in this thread.
 
One of my good friends from back in the day is currently serving in the IDF. He said (obviously biased) that they go as far as to call the civilians around their targets and let them know that they are about to run an operation at the target.

Not firing rockets would be a good start. Then Israel wouldn't feel the need to defend themselves.

We all cheered when that fat kid getting punched in the face body slammed the tiny little kid harassing him didn't we? He was certainly big and strong enough to just take it, but you shouldn't have to just accept getting attacked with no reasonable expectation that you'll retaliate.
 
But here, Israel is the big fat kid, who is stealing the little kids land, and when the little kid tries to stop it the big kid bulldozers the fuck of the little kid, then cries to rest of the world about how the little kid tried to stand up for itself.

The rockets should stop, they are pointless and only make a hopeless situation worse, but Israel are still the dicks here.

Yeah, but in this analogy, the little kid has said 'fuck you' to the big fat kid every single time he's tried to give him an equal share - landwise... and at the same time, he's totally disregarding the fat kid's existence in the first place.

...the little kid is very much 'all or nothing'. He's probably got a napoleon complex or something. So, yeah, now the big kid's being kind of an asshole to him, but he's gotta make a point that he's not a figment of imagination... (little kid's kinda delusional too)

I agree. The united state's unrelenting support has cause us far more trouble then the relationship it worth. Theyre all grown up now, they can manage.
