Shit that reduces stress

i need to relax, apart from beer, weed, and smokes, what are some good things to take/do to reduce stress ?
 
FUCK YEAH..... MGS gets u focused and in the zone, you become on with ur inner spirit playing that game..... it is a true zen moment playing that game...... BEST FUCKING GAME EVER!!!!!!!!!!! it can be a little stressful at sometimes tho but overall it is really relaxing
 
agrreeed!! going head to head with those beasts can be a bbit stressful.

that game cant be beat. no matter wat anyone says. snake is my role model.

take a walk. seriously. Just go walk in some place like the woods or something thats away from streets and sidewalks or other palces people might be.

also, try doing some sodoku's =D
 
ive got lots of stress these days too, and i find that going on some killing sprees in GTA is a good way to relieve it. incense helps too
 
smoke cigars, beat it , listen to music, sleep, ski, mountain bike, chill, hiking, go some where random
 
Ive been reading alot about buddhism and if you meditate for 5 minutes in the morning it will change your day. I havnt yet done it but ive talk to people that do it religiously.
also, ive been smoking an herb called MUGWORT. you can buy it at any organic store. It enables you to reach REM sleep much easier and relaxes your body all together before you go to sleep. It also give you much more and many vivid dreams. Sounds like some hippy shit but it really works.

its legitimate. you can buy it a co-op or any herb store its easy to find on the interet as well but you usually have to buy like a pound of it
 
music, movies, running, driving, playing a game online, cleaning, and I get a lot of work /homework, done because that takes my mind off of stressfull things.... talking to someone... ummm yea its more of personal preference and what works for you
 
im not religious but i seriously think buddhism is the best religion. its just so fucking chill and theres no converting or killing or any of that bullshit
 
Wel... i was gonna say weed... but what about hash?... Or a good night with some friends and a bunch of mushrooms. not inside tho I'd reccomend outside... in a place you know super well
 
ive been stressed all day trying to finish a research paper. just smoked a j and now i feel great...just try that

Excercise is the manin thing because it builds happy endorphins in the brain.
 
If you know how to crochet, then turn on some music you live and just make a hat.

If you don't know how, get someone to teach you (mildly stressful to learn tho, but worth it)

wow, a lot of you guys are just hiding your stress through busy work, i mean it's good to be proactive and shit, but cleaning? really? that's not really solving your stress, it's just distracting you from it. It probably comes back and bites you in the ass a lot huh?

Best bet is to look up some breathing techniques, get in the habit of practicing some mindfulness or as suggested some sort of meditation, once you can get your self in a relaxed state, you should probably think about what's the source of your stress, and work it out. Girls, school, family, friends, there probably is something you can do right now, or at the very least you'll figure out what you can do next time to prevent such a build up.

i work on really really complex polyrhythms so i forget what im stressed about. it makes me a better drummer too.
