Shipping boots to Europe?

Hey guys, I live in Serbia, Europe. I'm about to buy a pair of Full Tilts from a fellow NSer. My friend that lives in Chicago is a truck driver and he'll pick them up, and he'll ship them to me from Chicago. Any idea how much would shipping the boots approximately cost? Any experience with sending them overseas? Thanks

Daaaamn, that's almost what I paid for them... Hmm what about when you check them as a luggage at the airport ? What's the price for the boot bag? Or is it included as personal luggage or something?

if you have someone coming over then yeah they can just carry them on
 
Have them ship USPS. It is always way cheaper to ship internationally than UPS or FedEx. (source: I used to sell eBay internationally all the time). It all depends on the box size and weight. I did an estimated size and weight below. Here's what I got. Regardless you're looking at at least $50.

I'd go online and get a quote from DHL as well. I don't ship too much anymore but their prices for large parcels and international were very good a few years back.

Would you bother to check that for me since I'm not really sure how to get an approximate quote? I'm not really good with US metric system, and I never shipped anything so I'm not sure what options to check/uncheck ?

Sorry If I am bothering you too much, but I tried now and the pop up window kept bugging out for some reason o.O

What would be the best and cheapest way to ship a helmet from Montana to Chicago? Is do they charge it on the weight or the box size?

Both....make it as compact as possible. USPS is usually cheapest in my experience

fashion your own box around the helmet. thats what ive done for everything that I ship
