Shinbang, unique situation.

Shinbang has completely taken me out the last couple of seasons. I know there are a million threads about this but none similar to my problem.

I have tried on almost every boot available, been to every shop in whistler village and every shop near me out here in the Seattle area, and I ended up with a pair of Nordica dead money's last year. They fit me great.

Thing is, I ride bmx and mtb, and got shin splints two years ago. Between these three deals, my shins are not a smooth surface. I always wear shin guards now but I have a lot of built up scar tissue that will never go away and my shins are very lumpy. Every time I ski it creates pressure points and I find myself in retarded pain after only a few hours.

I've been skiing for 16 years, so I have no problems with form. I've tried literally everything to remedy this shin situation and it's driving me insane because I cannot ski. Anyone have similar problems or solutions?

as far aS the boot go the most inportant factors will be a good cuff fit and securing te foot well using footbeds. What type of fitting have you had done so far? If your up in whistler any time your more then welcome to come see me and I'll take a look at the fit.

Haha shittt I actually just got back home from whistler. I have a footbed and a little heel wedge in my boots right now because my heel is really thin. I have problems with heel lift in pretty much every boot.

What type are the footbeds?

Do you have any play at all in the cuff of your boot?

I use booster straps and make my boots so tight that I usually have to undo one set of buckles on the lift so my feet don't freeze. Locking everything down TIGHT seems to be the best remedy.

Have you tried a liner like intuition power wraps or the tours? Both are custom liners that will shape to your legs.

Yeah I keep them pretty tight but sometimes I loosen them up a little cause all the pressure on the top of the cuff starts to hurt.

That could work. I kinda wish I got a pair of full tilts cause the shell fit me good and they heat shape the liners.
