Shin rolling

anyone ever tried doing this for your shin bones to strengthen them? for those who dont know, its taking a hard surface like a rolling pin or a metal rod and rubbing it up and down your shins so it kills nerves and also breaks the bone a little on the surface i guess so it heals without air pockets. If you've done it, can you give some advice or good techniques? i have gumby shins

that sounds like it would hurt a lot dude, i'd rather deal with shin bang then crush my shin bones on purpose with a rolling pin

trust me.....i would do ANYTHING to stop the pain i get from skiing. Ive been rolling my shins like 10-15min for 2 days, it hurts but if itll make it better ill do it

i guess that would be good, if your getting rid of your nerves, it probably isnt to good for your legs but, it will definatley get rid of the pain

one of my friends doesn't have any nerves in his shins, but that's just some natural thing gone wrong. He goes to a doctor a few times a year just to check if everything is alright.

well.... my right hand is paralyzed, and i cant feel shit

not feeling is pretty terrible.

i wouldnt kill my shins on purpose. ever.

in some types of karate, people will kick poles and cement blocks with thier shins in order to strengthen them

eventually they can even break Louisville Sluggers over their shins

bahaha giray you have gumby shins...i wish i could help you but luckily field hockey doesnt have to deal with shin bang...good luck!

ive gone to bootfitters, i also worked in a ski shop and did alot with boots, i crammed my foot into a 26.0 boot so thered be NO movement....ive done alot of shit and tried alot of shit. this seems to be the only way i can ski

take a solo cup and fill it with water. freeze, chop in half and take the straight end of this ice chunk and scrape it down your shins, do it after you ski every night and youll be fine i had the same shit

hmmm interesting. i've never heard that one...i'll have to try it cause when i do get shinbang nothing i've ever tried has helped.
