my one friend was pushed into a pole and he riped his sack open on impact now we call him stitchie

ska is dead.... and you're next !

no i got it on the front of my shin aswell and it killed like hell then a few days later it started coming up as a scab dunno how to stop it tho.

my shins were killing all break and so i goot my boots soffend and some other stuff so now they are softer then my brother rossi b 3

i have the same problem. i softened my boot by cutting some of the back out. the thing i found that really works is getting some memory foam they use for fitting boots. i super glued it on the outside of my tounge under the buckles. then i duct taped some on the inside where my shin was hitting. it really helps b/c it always you to wear your boots a little looser up top but still takes up the space so they can't bang. my shins havent hurt since i did this and they had been fucked for 2 years prior.

^^^^sounds good id go with what he said. I also cut a 'v' on the inside of the back of my boots so they flex better when i land. Plus i got stuff put on the bottom of the heal that moves my foot foward so it doesnt 'bang'. The memory foam is an awesome idea just dont get carried away and put too much in. Thats the stuff that helped me out.

I hear the 'booster straps' you can buy in a ski shop to replace your old straps cure this. I don't have problems with my shins hurting too often but I think I'm gonna get the booster straps anyway, they are rubber and don't flex untill you really stress them with a serious turn or dropping then they give a bit.

We pay our debt sometimes.

the booster strap didnt really help me. all it does it tighten around your shins a bit more.

shave your legs...i know this sounds wicked gay but it actually works. the reason you get shin bang is because the muscle starts to pull away from the bone, when you ski your leg hair tugs on your shin as it rubs on the tongue of boot and causes more pain...

well wat cause shin band is usually knuckling, over clearing, and landing way back seat. Try to avoid these as much as possible. but of course u can't always do that so stuff does happends what I do is put ice on them and then soak 'em in hot water, and rest too.

yay skiing

yo hot water is the worst thing you can do for just about any injury besides muscle pulls, it increases the swelling and actually makes the injury worse...you gotta ice it 15 min at a time anything more that that causes vascular dialation and swelling increases
