Shin Bruises

Hi NS, lately every-time I go skiing with my FT drop kick boots, I getting these bruises on both of my shins, and i'm not sure what to do about them.

When I get these bruises I cant ski again for about 3-5 days and the bruises don't go away, but they hurt less.

I've been considering getting the Pro Boot Liner that is supposed to be softer, or get a new tongue with a softer flex.

Any input on how to fix this would be appreciated :)

get full tilts..... oh wait

But seriously:

-go check with a boot fitter

-make sure your boots are tight when you ski

-keep pressure against front of boot (sounds counter-intuitive, i know)

-try not to land backseat/overshoot

I've had my boots for 2 seasons and this just recently started happening this season.

then it might be how you are skiing or you arent buckling them tight enough

I used to get shin bang from the cuff on my snow pants when it was tucked into my boots. Sometimes it's not even the boot.

I usually tighten my boots enough so their tight but not squeezing my feet.

I'm just going to buy the #4 flex tongue since its pretty cheap, and just see what happens.

Thanks for the suggestions anyway :)

I never tuck anything in my ski boot, only socks.

I'm talking about the waterproof liner that goes under the rest of the pant. I don't tuck my whole pant leg in my boot lol. But yea it gave me the worst shin bang I've ever had. I had to stop skiing for like 10 days

Yeah I knew what you meant, I don't ever tuck anything in, also I really don't think this is shin bang, just cause of how low the bruises are.
