i dont really get shin bang, but the outsides of my calfs are always really tender after a day of park riding (lots of butters and ollies). shaving your legs works really good to get red of the tenderness and soreness that is sometimes mistaken as shin bang (caused by your socks rubbing out the hairs on your legs). advil does wonders to help numb the pain associated with shin bang, but it wont do anything to prevent it. also, a soft boot, or a boot in walk mode really helps if you fuck up and land backseat (allows your legs to flex backwards farther. it takes a while to get used to skiing like that, but it is perfectly safe, and you can still ski fine once you adjust to it. but really, the only cure is to take it easy (no skiing) for a week or two.
