i got really bad skin pain this year, too. i was told a bunch of different things. its not necessarily your leg banging against the front of your boot, if youre skiing backseat, then you could be putting a lot of stress on the tendons in the front of your leg (try and notice if you lift your toes of at all when you ski), especially if youre landing backseat. ask some of your friends to look at the way you ski. it could also be shin splints. im not exactly sure, but i think this happens when the muscle kinda tears away from the bone from repetitive impact -- correct me if im wrong. for that just try stetching (there should be tons of info somewhere on the web). after a lot of trial and error and screwing around with my boots, we finally figured out that my problem was that my boots were too soft, and that i was over-flexing them. kinda weird. just stiffening my boots, and i got a booster strap or something, has really helped a lot. if youre skiing a lot, check out custom insoles, those help with everything.
