Hey guys ive started to feel that dreaded pain or soreness in my lower legs especially the front of my shins. I know its from landing flat off rails and landing flat in general. I already have 1080 boots which are soft. Any ideas to get rid of this annoying nagging pain??? thanks guys

I just got the same thing today. ^hes right...It is from landing backseat!

yea fuck yea, i get them real bad from nollies/ wheelies.. hurts like a mother fucker. there is those support foamy rubber pad things that they sometimes put in you boot to make it flat between your shins and your boot.

yeah definitely dont let them turn to hairline fractures, last year i had kinda bad skin bang and then i tried a front flip and underrotated and backseated really bad and hairline fractured them. I had to walk with crutches for a few days and it took a little over 2 weeks for them to heal to the point where i could ski.

Ice them in 20 minute interval a couple times a day andf take lots of iBuprofen then don't land backseat anymore

I have had pretty severe 'shin bang' for the last year and a half. It is certainly caused by backseat landing. Not landing in the backseat is a good first step, but this can't always be helped. The true cause however is a poor fit in the ankle area of your boot. 95% of boots can't get tight enough around the ankle and even with them clamped as hard as they can be, you probably can still lift your heel a little if you really try. That is the problem. The only way to really fix the situation is to get boots that fit perfectly and don't permit ANY heel liftage no matter how hard you try. Unfortunately, the solution for me was to get very VERY expensive custom fit boots. Nothing else helped over the last year or so. Possibly one of the most frustrating things ever. Hope this helps, good luck.
