Shin bang

i got the samee thing

im out today

ice it all day no joke it helps major

advil or alieve is nice also

buy booster straps i used to have them horiibly, used them the next after having servere shin blast and they worked a charm

Whats the best one to get? Intermediate or Advanced? Because I think Advanced would be very stiff and not give you any flex, while the intermediate would give you enough flex but not too much.

this week ive been dying. within one day of skiing i had it.

so ICE ICE ICE ICE a ton! then if u can go in a hot tub (smoke a bowl) then rub the shins for 20 minutes and go back to icing. should help a lot.

ice it up.

I got shin bang about 1.5 weeks ago. It went away in about 8 days. It's prob gonna come back when I start hitting jumps again at winter park.

i got it too and if you tighten your booster strap before you tighten the top two knothces on your boots for some reason it helps alot.

alright, LISTEN UP! i have the worst shins in the world, but i discovered something. So i went to the shop i work at, got a bunch of good foam, about 1/4in thick. Glue a piece in the front of your liner on the outside, Then for the inside have 2 things of pad, 1 on each side of yoru shinbone to create a lil hole for your shin to fit in, this way it never touches the front, but everything is snug. My shins hurt and i did this today, and i was able to ski painless

i did that today by overshootin a jump i just didnt try hittin it as big and it started goin away

yea i had it the entire hoiliday break. im going to be icing it once or twice a day everyday until friday, you should rest for at least two days and ice them

just takes time but if its real bad and you think that you might be getting shin splints then just tap your toe on the ground for a long time. sounds wierd but it helps

im out with the same problem just ice for 20 heat for 5 rest 20 and repeat all day and take magnesium pills which relax muscles and stretch

i had the same problem and the one thing that helped me was not landing backseat. just make sure when you are riding jumps that you get a good forward pop and stomp it clean without a backseat landing and you should be golden. icing helps a lot too if you still get it.

Ive got these sock with padding sewn into them, theyre really nice, might wanna look into them i think theyre called lavawool or something like that

only hurts when i land backseat, or touch it.. so id say about a 3. Im probably just being a bitch. its just kind of annoying. the powder definetly helped today.

i got shin bang like the first few days i skied and then they like grew muscle or something over and now i have a big bump on my shins, but my shins dont hurt anymore, i guess i got used to it. ANd also!!! this helped a lot, I dont know if everyone already knows this, because i didnt, if you adjust the lip of your liner to fit your leg, the pressure is more evenly divived on your leg, yeah..

but i got a little shing bang from landing backseat....

softer boots, liners taht cover a good portion of ur shins (intuition)...spend the money bro if u got issues with shin bang if ur really about skiin bro...soooooo worth it!...get a boot fitting!

this sounds soo crazy but shaveing ur shines is wut get rid of shine bang.... i had shine bang the first day of skiing this year and i was sooo pist of becus it wouldent go away, then i got told to shave my shines and its gloyious results.. its somthing to do with the hair being rubbed again the front of ur boot ware ur shines rest against them.. so try this out and PM me with the results it does

The door is over there.

Yeah, shin bang blows, i used to get it a ton, so i tightened up the booster strap and didn't land backseat as much, and it fixed it pretty well.

do the same as that but for people who dont have access to foam make a trip to the local drug store and pick up some, or raid the bathroom cupboards and use maxie pads, they come in differant thicknesses and sizes depending on the boot size and soreness of the shins.

Ice it a lot, make sure you get something between the ice and skin, i went from shinbang to like frostburn/bite on my shins pretty fast, then again I fell asleep with the my icepad thing.

Anyway, ice all you can, and i did a couple ice baths (filled like a shin high bucket /w water and lots of ice, about 20mins in it), helped a lot for sure since it was both shins and calfs, pretty much my whole lower leg was done for.

Been out for ~10days, mostly due to weather and just not feeling like going and i went from by far the worst shinbang of the year (ive been at the point where i could barely gas the pedal, this was worse), to prolly the best i've felt.

Also riding rampages, and i have booster straps, which i tighten on the upper 1inch of the tounge to get a snug fit, did jackshit. Also tried the padding thing on the upper portion of the tounge back when the shin bang was on the lower half of the shin, before it spread to pretty much everywhere
