There's really no way to prevent it most of the time, sometimes i would get no shinbang and spend about 5 hours in the park, constantly landing flat. Some times, i just hit on jump

yeah man i get mad shin bang, it feels like my shins are bruised and there really know way to prevent it i have tryed everything, the only thing that seems to help a bit it making your boots really tight!

really? i would have thought that making them tight would make the shin bang worse

the worst is if you have a strap and then upper buckles come loose. then you shoot forward till an abrupt stop. to stop it you can supposedly ice it and rub the front of your shin w/ your pole because it kills cells or something allowing it to heal quicker. not exactly sure but someone talked about those preventions a few weeks ago

'What the hell is this? I ordered a cocktail not a fucking jungle. You could fall in love with an orangatang in there.' Some guy in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels refering to his drink that had a mini umbrella and fruit on top of it.

After skiing like 10 times do you guys notice that on your shin a lot of the hair is missing? My boots rip out alot of my leg hair and it is quite strange. A phenomenom if you will

think of it this way, the tighter ure boot, the more its likely to move with ure shin, therefore meanin less resistance when you land hard.

its not where you ride, its how you ride it!

look up the booster strap at google.com and click the first thing that comes up. I don't have one but I'm really considering one. It even says 'STOPS SHIN BANG'

REMEMBER: It's 10% equipment, and 90% rider.

I got the booster strap, they do work good. I get more control while allowing my boots to be 1 notch looser on the top two buckles. Helps alot with shin bang too.

yea, they sound good, but i dont wanna spend $25 and then have them not work. if you get one, tell me how it works

Yea i wear my boots really loose, and it doesnt help at all. Im just really lazy and dont want to tighten them. I want to look into the booster strap.

i know this doesnt sound like a very good solution but the only way to stop it is to stop landing backseat on stuff, if you do that no matter how your boots are set you will be fine.
