shin bang is caused by micro tears in the muscle between the tibia and ski boot...the only way to avoid em is to have a proper fitting boot...that mean NO space between the tongue and your shin when your buckled up...go to a shop and pay the money to get your kicks fitted right...also try a heavy dose of stretching....

shin splints suck and have ruined many seasons for some hard core skiers

wear mad socks and dont be a pussy

you can buy a foam shim to place in between the boot tongue and liner....sometimes works

or...give your local boot fitter a fat sack and sixer of good beer and let him do his magic

yah at the moment i have absolutely horrible shin bang, doctor told me it's actually cracks and chips of your shin bone.

my boots are two sizes too big, so get some boots fitted just for you. i also got those shin things, and i was wondering if they actually work. i haven't been skiing yet.

i use to have really bad shin bang...then i tightened my boots like crazy and stopped not clearing jumps and it went away

i had it really bad this season, but i figured out how to get rid of it

1 place a wedge in the heel of your boot, changes the placement of your shin against the boot

2 booster straps + boots as tight as possible

3 land forward or at least balanced... lately i fall alot more because its not worth landing backseat so if i'm gonna land real far backseat i just lean as far forwards as i can and then when i hit the landing i try to fall over to my side, adds some mroe bruises but stops shin bang, the bang is worse than bruises

4 just ski on it, the more you ski on it, it starts to go away. so ski on it, and when you cant ski ice it, pretty much stops pain

dont land backseat thats the best advice i can give you, do lots of 1s 5s and 9s cuz i noticed landing switch is way better

Merse you sexy potatoe you better be doing some thing fucking crazy up there, see yea soon br-ah
