Its time for me to get new boots, and I get terrible shin bang from my XWave 7s. ANy advice on which boots will help? Oh, And I've got a really wide foot.

weekdays are for healing your back and neck after hucking hard on the weekend

The X-Wave 7 is a soft flexing boot. Either it never fit properly, or you always landed in the backseat. Don`t blame the tools.

Try the Teneighty (not the Pro).

I'm using soft boots now for park, I haven't had any shinbang problems thus far, but I haven't been landing backseat either. Softs are really light though... they're good park boots. They work pretty well for the rest ofthe hill too, but I'm glad I have 2 pairs. I guess if you're only going to have 1 pair for park and mountain, then get 1080s... but I doubt they'll be any better on your shins than Xwave 7s, that's a fairly soft boot.

^I have soft boots too, and dont have any of the problems I used to have with stiffer boots. My guess is you are landing in the same fashion a lot man. maybe get some film of yourself and see what you are doing wrong

'can you read what that says?'

'donna simma?'

'yes, that's right. now how would that appear in a phone book?'

'simma, donna?'

'that's right now Simma down na!

Just crank down the clips so theres no circulation going to your feet...garunteed you won't feel anything ;)

Is there anywhere where you can buy new liners only? I have the 2002-2003 1080's and agree the liner sucks.

Try the ATOMIC TWEAK bot. It has shock absorber built into the cuff hinge to ease impact gradually and shock absorbers under teh heel.... The toe box is also 15% wider to allow fo your foot to expand when you make contact with snow.

B2 boot, the most comfortable non-shin bangin' boot I have ever skied in. Like heaven compared to my 1080 boot

i have rossi softs and they are soooo nice, out east i can use them for the whole mountain and i didnt have trouble with them when i went out and skied crested butte, but maybe thats because i dont weigh that much and i have a pretty big foot

Re: heat molded liners

They might help especially if you're currently getting a lot of heal lift.

A foam-injected liner will not be good because it is very firm and does not insulate your feet from the cold... just in case you're wondering.

Boots that fit are the single most important thing you can get. Get some custom footbeds while you're at it.
