Shaun White's "did he deserve 100?" poll on ESPN

hahaha fuck hes gonna have a landslide no. i kind of feel bad but not really because although he is an amazing boarder and all i just think that giving anyone a 100 is too much, unless they decide to change how they start ranking people to make it better
 
Just another example of NS' power. It took 15 minutes and the general opinion on this site can be heard by big compagnies such as ESPN. It's the proof that we are the tightest knit community in action sports. Same thing happened for the NS fueled posting on the X Games facebook wall when they disqualified a lady in skicross for showing her love to Sarah and her family. It got to the point where they had to remove public posting on a page with 2.5 million fans.
 
I've never seen a group of people so butthurt over something so trivial. The fact that you all feel the need to go bomb a poll with negative votes over a fucking HALFPIPE SCORE in a sport which you don't even participate is honestly pathetic. You all need to grow up.
 
just so you know, from a friend of mine who was there racing. "The guy who wrote this article if full of it. She got disqualified for not wearing a jersey under her bib and for having black rubber bands around the top of her boot above her pants.She was not dq'ed for having sarahs band around her thigh. i was right there listening to the convo with the ref for the race so i would know. Either way it was a shity deal."
 
We do what needs to be done. Not because he deserves it, but because he needs it. So we'll hunt him, because he can take it. He's not our hero, He's Shaun White.

 
Yea there was confusion. She was first told that she was DQed because of the Sarah band, but later was informed it was because of the hairbands around her leg.

from her facebook: X Games and ESPN made an amazing tribute to SB all week. My disqualification was not about the band but about a hair tie around my boot. I broke the rules and for that I'm sorry. I wasn't aware there was clothing violations at the X Games. My Fault. My Bad.

i couldn't say it any better myself, why not quote. that's why it shouldn't have got a 100. there was room for improvement in his run, and a 100 defines a perfect run. it's not shaun white that i'm bitching about, it's the judges (although i don't really like white either). what happens if someone does the same exact run and doesn't drag his hand down the wall? there is always room for improvement. the best run out of the riders, but not a 100.
 
i commented that he didnt deserve it and they did it for higher views/hype/etc.

and my comment was on the official x games video it has like 82 dislikes haha
