I was just gonna say, too, Damn skiers kill it in the pipe. Dumont and Tanner are so much sicker than White in the pipe. I haven't really watched snowboard pipe in awhile, but it really seems at this point the skiers have far surpassed the snowboarders.
 
i hate how when boarders go for a spin, say a 10 its soooo sloppy looking, like the axis of rotation is not perpendicular to the board at all

that was complete bullshit. pearce threw down and completely deserved it.

the judges must've been smoking something because not only did they give shaun the win, but in general everyone's scores were whack.
 
what a joke that was, you could tell the whole competition they were gunna give it to him if he didnt fall in either of the first two runs they would have giving him a 94 and let no one even get close. what ever all snowboard pipe is tail grab and 1080s how bout some progression guys, may a real trick on the first hit rather then a straight air

Shaun is good and everything but i think it's time that the judges accept the fact that there are kids out there like pearce, davis, etc. that are just as good, and they need to jump off the white train

next years x-games will have a different format.

The only thing that will stay the same is lots and lots of snowmobile action in prime time. 100 lap snowcross... hell yeah.

Next order of business, all skiing events will bel held from 4:00 am to 6:00 am so that no one can see how epic the ski events will be in next years x-games after the mind blowing shit that was laid down this year. Remember snowboarding is cooler.

Finally, oh boy get ready for this............ ALL SNOWBOARDING EVENTS ARE CANCELLED. In stead they are just going to show highlight reals of d-bag white throwing lame runs and claming harder than anyone thought possible. Its histroy in the making..... again. Followed by endless footage of white getting his medels, and just like this year he will get a couple of high fives because people would feel guilty to just walk away but no one will cheer or give him the hug/dogpile a winner deserves because he has no friends. But don't worry, White will jump up and down with his board saying " I win, I'm the greatest, I love me, I just made histroy.

 
and i also heard its gonna be entirely in mega mo, with sal masakela saying "that was bananas" over and over while 13 year old girls text in their votes

The announcer even said at the end of Shaun's run that if Shaun won, it would've been solely because of his name. Props to him at least for so openly giving the true perspective of the snow community
 
that show makes me feel so good about myself, whenever i feel like a huge failure, i tivo that shit and get the biggest ego boost of my life, then just repeat the cycle over.
 
Didn't tanner win superpipe gold three years in a row?? they were making a bid deal about the back to back golds but seems they completely forgot skiers...

ya'll a bunch of whiners. yea shaun white, should have gotten third or fourth. but judging isn't always perfect. and skiing aired in primetime just like the snowboarding and the slednecks. oh, and snowboard pipe runs are still more technical. back to back 10s anyone?
 
Word, that is the only reason he won. Kevin Price's run was so much bigger. White just played it safe and didn't air out nearly as much as Price.

Totally shitty. KP got robbed.
 
ever since me and my buddy started skiing(he is a snowboard to ski convert) all the snowboarders think all skiers are so sick, and way more fun to watch than there fellow snowboarders. skiing has surpassed snowboarding by a long shot, if were getting that much respect from snowboarders.

what i really liked seeing was how much better pipe skiing is than boarding. people were throwing straight airs and expecting to do well but if a skier threw a straight air they would be laughed at. the judges were all like AHH SICK A SWITCH METHOD NOW THATS TECHNICAL. well ya...hitting the wall switch is technical, now try throwing a fucking switch 9. thats technical not a stupid method
 
Id tend to agree, but straight airs are very common in snowboarding, its pretty widely accepted. Oh and yeah the comment on the switch method being technical was a total load of horseshit. As well as comparing switch in snowboarding to throwing with your left hand, this isnt skateboarding, its snowboarding~

shut up. your on a skiing website. and skiing halfpipe has progressed so much more than snowboarding halfpipe. we boost higher, land smoother, and have better grabs. 12's, dub flips, alley oop flatspins, or switch 10's anyone?
