Bar Refaeli had complained she “doesn’t get hit on by guys,” but Olympic gold medalist Shaun White gave it a shot over Memorial Day weekend.

The snowboarding champ was spotted with Maxim’s newly crowned “hottest woman in the world” at SoHo lounge Sway “dancing, hugging and kissing” into the wee hours of Monday morning, spies tell Page Six.

White was first seen entering the Spring Street club with five pals after midnight Monday, but sources say he was mostly concerned with monitoring his cellphone.

“He was distracted,” a witness said. “He was pacing, going outside and checking his cell.”

It soon became clear why, when stunning model Refaeli arrived to meet White at about 1:30 a.m.

The half-pipe hero and the Israeli ex of Leonardo DiCaprio promptly hit the dance floor, where they were going for the gold in the canoodle-a-thon. “They were all over each other,” our spy said. “They were dancing, hugging, kissing — you name it.”

Refaeli was seen leaving Sway at “around 3 a.m.,” and White gallantly walked her out and let her take his car home.

White then returned to the club for more fun and was chatting with two girls. A source close to the athlete pointed out the beauties were just friends and part of the group White arrived with.

His posse enjoyed bottles of Jack Daniel’s, vodka and wine at a VIP table, and left en masse, forgetting to leave a tip. “[Sway co-owner] Robin Cofer sent over several bottles, and although [they] were gracious to everyone, they stiffed the wait staff,” a spy sniffed.

A source close to White countered, “Shaun was a guest of the group. He’s the most generous guy and would never not leave a tip. He’d be really upset about that.”

Reps for White and Refaeli, who was also spotted cycling in Central Park over the weekend, had no comment last night.

leaving a tip at bars in my mind is just retarded unless they are literally runing towards me with my drink as soon as they see me at the bar.........i don't pay people extra money to do something a monkey can do
 
They make their money off of tips at most places. It's pretty much a commission based job, where your tip is their commission
 
When i was at IF3 two years ago at the Cali P party, I was waiting to get a redbull and some drinks for two girls who asked me to get them some (was standing right there and they couldnt get in, so I was nice). Anyways, the bartender gets me my drinks, I pay, then she gives me my change and i start to put it in my pocket. She points to a decent stack of change and bills and gives me *that* look. I just tossed her a loonie (or toonie? wtf is that shit) and left.

I've worked food service and understand how awesome tips are, but I didnt point to the jar and cough when i made a latte for someone, which is loads more effort than a fucking redbull and two shots.
 
Even in Canada? Isn't minimum wage pretty decent in Montreal already to be asking for tips like that, or tips at all?
 
that's because you're an amateur drinker. or poor. maybe both.

any PRO drinker tips the bartender well because he/she knows that when it's hoppin and you're thirsty the bartender is gonna cater to you.

nothing better than having a bartender reach over people in line to personally hand you drinks.
 
ding ding ding and always tip an extra buck or two on your first drink. the bartenders remember that and will def take care of you
 
So where does tipping stop? Do you tip the taxi driver, bus driver, metro and train operators, truck drivers for delivering the goods to the store, the greeters at Walmart, the helpers and cashiers in any given store for doing their job? Kiosk dealers, secretaries, any single person whose workload comes with any certain "service", appointing to your needs?

 
hmm not sure but i do tip taxi cab drivers a buck or two. the rest you mentioned, i do not.

This guy knows. Always tip a dollar/drink (minimum), even if it's just a PBR, although it's more critical with mixed drinks or complicated orders. For your first drink, always tip more, you want the bartender to remember you. Your drinks will be stronger and your service will be better for the rest of the night. Always go to the same bartender, otherwise you've got to start all over. Make sure they see you leave the tip, don't do it after they've left already, don't be douchey about it, be nonchalant. Another good rule to thumb is, if you've got options, don't go to the hot bartender, go to the solid 7.
 
shaun white is the fucking man. Dude is easily the most sucesful winter sports athlete in the world. Yea he "sold out", but any moron who wouldnt take giant contracts like he did is a retard. Sean also backs his shit up on a skateboard and snowboard, dude kills it. Great he may be a dick to some people, just because hes rich doesnt mean hes required to tip if it wasnt even his party in the first place.

incorrect....i've worked at a few bars and they do pay a wage. The tips are just extra butter. Sorry, i don't think you need extra money for opening a bottle. France knows where its at, no tips.
 
next time you go to france look at your bill. 15% service charge is on the bill unless 'service compris' is somewhere on there....either way you're tipping.

yup, thats it. its not like its a 20 minute ride or something. i go 2 miles tops...usually to my next bar.

we servers and bartenders make in between 2-3 bucks an hour.( if i go overtime i make a whopping 3.50 an hour.) and usually we make our paychecks count towards taxes. in other words, we make jack shit when you dont tip. so if you go to restaurant, thinking that we make anything substantial, or even close to minimum wage, think again. tiping is the way to go, an errbody should do it.

its also a great way to be remembered. and good tippers get special service.

yes, i know. The bars in the Artois region of france that i was visiting all had service included. Being a PRO drinker has nothing to do with anything. I refuse to tip for average service, for things they do everyday. If you go out of your way to do an exceptional job, then you deserve a tip. It is the base principal of tipping.

If you want to be a pro drinker, go to the bar with someone who works there. Always go to the uglyest bartender, no chitchat, no yelling, be nice.....get your drink get the fuck out. Don't put a massive fuck off order in the middle of a rush, always go in the lul.

Tip for : custom drinks, fast and curtious service above the usual duty

Don't tip for: average bar tender who is opening a beer for you in a line-up, in a rush your just another face.....money/no money.
 
Fight for better wages.

Sure, I've given a few tips here and there, either feeling generous or I've just been really drunk and happy, but never for "good service". What is good service, or special service?

If I order three pints, what could you possibly do to make that a "special" service if I had tipped you before?
