I lost my GoPro Paintballing in a Field yesterday. I looked for probably 2 hours today and am planning on going back tomorrow with some of my buddies to find it. Curious to see who has all lost there GoPros due to mount failures or any other stories!
 
3'ed off a small cliff at Lake Lousie. Faceplanted. Sticky mount came off. Took 15ish minutes to find. Now the case is covered in yellow and red tape for maximum visibilty and style
 
Fell out of my pocket when me and my friend were walking around town one day, and we walked all around town looking for it for like an hour or two, but then we finally found it
 
this idiot fucking stoner "friend" left mine in the Schweitzer parking lot. we notified the lodge within minutes of finding out that it was gone but i figured it was long gone for sure. turns out some lady had found the camera, contacted the mountain which then contacted my "friend". unfortunately he managed to loose the number contact number for the lady who found it and when i tried calling Schweitzer they had already thrown away her contact information because they had already given it to that stoner dumbfuck.

After I dropped this cliff Shampson threw his go pro at me because he wanted his drop to be filmed. The go pro went a foot over my head and landed in the pow... a lady ski patroller stopped by to help. All she did was stab the snow with a probe... after digging for 15 mins we found it
 
a bunch of asians stole it out of my jacket park at breck, i couldnt even confront them because they didnt speak english. was pissed beyond days

I had just got my new wakeboard this summer. So I put a flatmount on the board and had the camera point up at me. (i also teathered it to my boot with 50lbs braided fishing line) Within 10 min I went for a backroll. I cased Nose heavy and... It sand to the abyss. 60+ feet in murky waters. I went scuba diving fr it but at 45 feet down the water got to 9 degrees... I was forced ti end my dive and say good bye to my beloved go pro :(
 
My friend bought one before last season ... never used it all season ... went on a roadie to kicking horse about march ... helmet mounted ... first chairlift, first time he used it ... "BARRRR!" ... pulled it down... knocked it off his helmet into pow... gone.
 
I was about to post a VERY similar story. Those fucking sticky mounts did not do the trick. Then again the bar took a good shot at my GoPro. It popped off and I noted where it fell, when I got off the lift I raced down to it and found it. Some jackass on the lift was yelling at me like I stole something.

I was so happy when I found it.
 
I had the original one and I tried surfing while just holding on to it. I dropped it when a wave hit me, and it was never seen again. Good excuse to upgrade to the HD version though.
 
lifty bumped the chair wrong at Smugglers notch vermont[/u] on the Madonna 1 lift[/u] and the bar fell and knocked it off my head. yelled to him to pick it up because the chair didn't stop. he gave it to the next skier to give to me at the top without me knowing. i got off at the halfway point and raced down to hear he gave away my brand new $300 baby i was and am in love with. by then it was gone and i still haven't gotten a new one. this happened last february. If you have my gopro pleas kindly kill yourself, thanks.[/u]
