I am saying right now, this film is on an entirely new eschelon of production excellence. Most definetly the most impressive piece of organized skiing media of 2005. It was just over a week ago that i was tortured to The HIt List premiere in boulder. As if Berman is accepting the direct challenge of MSP's bull shit last year to fucking ruin every film company with this years production, he has created a movie that is so farrr ahead of others that it is hard not to come on here and make a post like this. So much quality talent from so many promising athletes spliced flawlessly with perfect fill shot after perfect fill shot. I am warning hte rest of the ski film industry right now to get scared, get really scared, because J berman is now on a new level. Choosing to have Shanhai 6 missing from your library year is a decision you can not afford to make.

Oh yeah, and DL icognito tore that building down.

I want it sooooooooo bad. Does anyone have any definate idea when is shipping out? Has anyone gotten there pre-order package yet?

.........get stoked

it was supposed to ship out Sept. 20th, and take 5-8 business days to come to your door, but i guess not. I cannot wait to get it. Every day i get so excited coming up to my door thinking it'll be there, but NOOOO. it is gonna be sooo awesome though

Yes, thank you for declaring your opinion the bottom line... Is it a new fad to declare every ski movie the best thing out this year? How about we refrain from making such comments (especially in all caps) until we've seen at least, say, 5 movies from 05/06 at least a few times each. This is getting ridiculous.

im gonna agree with jd may ... everybody here is claiming the first movie they see to be the best movie yet...its just because your craving so much that you jump on it and think its totally mindblowing

BOth of you are fucking idiots. Its NOT the first movie i have seen. I have seen Pop Yer Bottlez, War and Hit List and I guess i am 1 below your OFFICIALLY declard sample size for accurate ski movie evaluation but out of the 4 major films so far Shanhai 6 is ridiculous. Couple this with the general optimistic assumption that ski movies get progressively better every yearand my declaration seems pretty legitimate. I have never made a post like this before claiming a movie this hard but that is because i have never felt this strongly about a film. BUt maybe having a live performance before and being drunk helped too, but this film is amazing, and I have been watching these movies progress since 13.

You will see when you get it.

you havent seen whiteshine, wich I consider as the greatest ski movie yet in term of editing and concept.

I do beleive shangai 6 will ahve better skiing tho

To everyone: it says on the site that it is shipping the first week of Oct, i.e tomorrow!

i talked to someone over there yesterday and they said it wont be shipped out until next week because of some problems they are having

war was sooo much better than any movie ive ever seen then i saw shanghai six and even shanghai six was alot better than war. so this is like the best movie ever.

You shouldnt really say that Shanghai Six is the best movie of the year untill you have seen Teddybear Crisis. Its hard to say which one is better, but Tanner Halls segment(s) (One with urban rails, the other one with backcountry jumps and chads gap) are so good that I guess TBC is just a little bit better. Also, the effects used in TBC are just insanely cool! But Shanghai Six kicked ass too, so just get both!

this is copy and pasted from level 1's site

Ordered yours yet? If not, get on it asap and guarantee yourself a copy before the first run sells out! Or better yet, steal some extra lunch money from the kids that ride in the front of the bus, and pick yourself up a Six Pack. With all six Level 1 titles, no other box set comes close to documenting the history and evolution of newschool skiing. Both Shanghai Six and the Six Pack ship the first week of October. Straight up.

sounds ace, i can say that iv nt seen any of this years, but high 5 was completely amazing and i loved it, so if this is as good as its hped to be, its gna b immeeense

ive gotta scratch up some money and buy some movies, so many movies look good this year, especially shanghi 6

true, i am stoked for those movies and i very well could have spoken too soon cause plehouse is sick for sure and kris O has got a lot of creativiity. i am still waiting for my plehouse dvd.
