Shanghai six or tedyy bear crisis???????

TBC is arguably the best newschool ski movie ever, but only if you actually like well made movies. Some people can't get over the fact that it's not structured like every ski movie they've seen for the past 4-5 years. Anyway, yeah, pretty much the greatest thing since ever.
 
ok....if you want a GAY ski movie with not ONE full ski segment minus tanners....then by all means pick TBC....otherwise if you want a ski movie with ILL BC bootas and DOPE urban along with EPIC park setups and PERFECT editing by bermizzle and niggity neil then by all means buy S6
 
Shanghai siz in rails equals teddy in jumps. Both have super progressive parts. Both great movies. If you have the money get both. If not, I would say teddy, even though I have shanghai, teddybear is so sick.
 
i own both and i like tbc. mainly cause this one song that goes blue sky the whole time takes up like 4 segments in shanghai six. get TBC
 
shanghai is a more traditional ski movie and gets u pumped for skiing, TBC is really strange, but the skiing is amazing (there are only like 2 rails in TBC)
 
TBC puts me to sleep. The skiing is great but big gap jumps over and over get old, especially with a continous soundtrack of techno. I am also sort of sick of that sped up editing crap, he does it in all of his movies. S6 has great variety and a sweet soundtrack to boot.
 
teddy bear crisis is amazing.

best editing in terms of how the fil is structured, and there are complete parts for people, they are just not set to individual tracks.

its kinda non-linear in that it jumps back and forth between skiers, but i love that, it makes you watch the movie as a whole instead of 8 tracks with a skier each.

not alot of urban stuff, but some really clean and tech enough shots to keep you going.

there is really not one second of the movie that i do not love watching.
 
i'll bet 50% of the guys in here havent seen both..

I've seen both:) But only seen S6 2 times, prob seen TBC 20times.. But what do i know? I prob like it because there are many norwegians and scandinavians appearing in the movie.

And people complaining about TBC music, move to the ghetto, you guys cant stand anything but hiphop n rap, how about trying something else? Try to like it!

I got to admit, when i saw TBC the first time, i wasn't a big fan of the OST, but it just keeps getting better every time i watch it..

But you know what, get your hands on both..
 
i didn't like shanghai six. I thought the music sucked and it was shot in interlaced. yuk. the skiing was good though.

I must say though TBC blew my mind and I love watching it every time.
 
i have only Seen Liam's part from S6 and i like it better than TBC already. im gonna go buy it todaaay
 
man they are both awerosme movies and im sure youll be pleased with whatever one you get but my thoghts are.... teddy= awesomeness and killer soundtrack

shnghi 6= fucked up soundtrack cuase it doesnt go well with the skiing and too much urban rails but otherwise awesome
 
yah i jsut watched shanghai and i still would say teddybear is better. but shanghai is better to watch over and over.
 
heres the eternal debate and what i have to say about it -

Both movies are awesome in their own right, they both perfectly exemplify the two strains of "newschool" skiing today and neither strain is better than the other, they are both fuckin sick.
