Shanghai on PS2

For some reason my shanghai six wont work on my ps2. It is pretty old but all my other dvds work. Its weird cuz the title scrren will show up but then it says 'unable to read disc' any ideas?

cuz my ps2 is in my room and my dvd player is downstairs. its not the end of the world, i was just wondering why it didnt work
