Shanghai 6 in HIGH DEFINITION?

i remmber a thread about people who bought s6 will have an opportunity to dl a high definition version for there computer. will that still happen?
 
Working on it right now... trying to find an optimized file size, which takes a fair amount of time considering a test encoding takes 5 days. Coming Soon!
 
You obviously don't have one of the new quad core g5s with 16 gb of ram... do you?

loser! any REAL professional filmaker would have it.
 
As i know, Shanghai six will probally be just in wide screen, its imposible for it to be in True High Definition because normal DVD's dont have enough capasity to store all that information. Not until blue ray disk come out will movies be in true high definition.
 
You can encode and make a hi def DVD right now, but the catch is that it will only play back on a Mac G5.

You can also encode for WMV HD and deliver it as a file to be played out of the computer and through an HD monitor/projector.

Next year there will be HD players available in the US & EU. Japan already had HD recorders two years ago, but they won't be compatible with the new ones.

ALL DVDs are compressed. The question is how well are they compressed. Ski footage is really hard to get good compression and still get a good picture because there's so much changing in the picture and there're lots of subtle even tones in the snow.
 
When is this shit supposed to come.

They said they were shipping in the first week or two of October and its the fucking end of the month.
