Shane, You Will be Missed.

Show respect, Newschoolers. This day and the many that lie ahead of it should be covered in honor.
Shane lived in a way almost none of us can comprehend and it was this unashamed, fearless lifestyle that made him great.
I'm glad he perished persuing his passion.
RIP Shane.

R.I.P. ill never think about skiing the same again

RIP Shane. Such a pioneer of our sport you will be dearly missed. Atleast he died doing something that would have brought him a rush. Base jumping and skiing. Hope all the family is okay.

best wishes for his family. Just goes to show how high risk this stuff is. I dont see how its worth a life and the toll on his family.

looking up the times for the basketball games today i happened to glance down on the espn home page and see the article written about his death. such a sad day in skiing. he will truly be missed by all. RIP

i retract this, my opinion on this does not belong in here, at this time.
make sure you let the ones you love know that you love them, be safe, and be considerate people.
RIP once more shane

immediately when I heard about this i watched that segment...soo good and fitting i think for shane's "last" segment. I donno how much footy they have from this season but the movie is definantly going out to him.

RIP Shane

5C out all weekend. Sat was local hill's last day so... hucked & jibbed my meat over 30 & 50 footers all day. Used the hurtin' terrain as creatively as possible and ended the season with a Slush Cup where I was the only skier to make it across. Finally ended the day at a packed kegger, got a chance to rip around on a Dimebag Darrell (RIP too) custom guitar crushing the posers and onlookers with shred gnar lead, rhythm and volume.

Thought and talked about ya Shane, your family and impact on freeskiing throughout the day! This day was for you Shane. Godspeed.

same. so sad. i till cant get over it, i didnt know him personally but i still feel connected just to him. he was the reason i love skiing, his segment in Ski Movie, hooked me back in the day.

i still cant believe the guy's gone. i never met him but i still remember the first time i watched yearbook and then bought my first pair of twintips because of him and everyone else in that movie.

RIP

RIP man. Shane was one of the most innovative skiers of our time. Without shane reverse camber and huge ass pow skis would still be something only weirdoes ride haha. Shane has definitely had a huge impact on skiing and will be missed.

R.I.P. Shane. You ripped. You were my hero for the longest time, and I thought your segments in movies were always sick. + Vibes to his family and stuff, thats just tragic that he's gone. R.I.P. man, you were a legend.
