he is an old fag that can't stand the notion that park skiing is getting more attention so he does stupid impractical things like ski down a mountain with water skis on, jumps off cliffs sideways, and calls it 'progression' of big mountain skiing. That's not progression, its retarded. Fuck you shane.

 
Shane kills. He's one of those guys who has been around for a long time and still rips big mountain/backcountry a new one. And now with Ski-BASE jumping....the possibilities, as he says, are endless. For anyone who has ever rode a ski wider than 112mm at the tip should thank Shane. He pushed common design and developed the Volant Chubb (which was 118mm at the tip) and created the first 'big mountain' specific ski. This is common nowadays, but in the mid-90s was unheard of. I think that the reverse camber on the spatula is the greatest thing to happen to skiing since the fat twin.

shane is god. he has brought so much to the sport. his pure insanity/genious has helped push the sport to such crazy limits. just think where skiing would be, or should i say where skiing wouldnt be without him.
